After Victor said this, Christie's face suddenly turned livid.
Victor felt suffocated for his throat was squeezed. He was held hanging in the air outside the window, which made Kurosawa nervous and panicky, for as long as Christie loosened his hand if he was stimulated, Victor would fall down.
No matter how much information they got, they were only children, and their strength couldn't compare with that of an adult at all.
Victor kept shaking, his legs in the air, his heart racing, and his eyes fixed on Christie's face. "To help you escape the legal sanction after her death, she even found the evidence for you. Don't you have any guilt in your heart?"
Christie's eyes were scarlet. "Nonsense. You are deliberately saying this to confuse me... Impossible, that woman... that woman can't do this for me..."
"Is someone sowing discord between you?"
"She is pregnant with another man's child!" Christie roared and grabbed Victor's neck, almost taking away all air left in his chest. "Does she match? How can she--"
"How do you know it's another man's?" asked Victor.
"Because I saw her hidden pregnancy test report one day, but she... she didn't tell me at all!" Christie roared, "She didn't tell me for she was guilty. I'm ready to marry her and to be a good father. But she didn't tell me she was pregnant. Why did she give me such a big blow?"
Thinking of something else, Victor closed his eyes, sighed gently, and then asked.
"Have you ever opened that suitcase?"
Christie's move paused.
Feeling his shock, Victor smiled. "There may be something left by her to you in it."
Tears slipped down along the corner of Christie's eye. "No... Impossible! You just want to shake me."
"For what?"
Victor's eyes became increasingly calm. "Why can a dead person shake you? If you really want to kill her, will you still care about her feelings for you?"
Victor's words brought a shock to Christie.
Kurosawa slowly read a passage.
"Christie, my wish is to go to Baker Street in London with you next year, because I know you like Holmes. It is because we both like Holmes that we come together."
It was the email sent by Pearl when they were in a long-distance relationship.
