"Yes." The assistant bowed his head and then said, "By the way, the young lady fell sick again."
Latham's head was veined. "Is it real? How can she remain sick almost all the year?"
"Doctor said it is real. So you'd better not go to the party with her."
The assistant meant the party that Marquis would also attend.
"How dare he still attend this party? He may want to have a stunning turnaround tonight. After all, he hasn't stepped down yet." Latham's slender fingers were interlaced, his eyes as cold as the dark universal.
"It is better to go there with Sonia tonight." He suddenly smiled. "I really want to see what Marquis will look like when he sees Sonia at the dinner party."
Half an hour later, the assistant led Sonia to the door of the president office. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A steady voice came inside. "Please come in."
This voice was penetrating, and she clenched her fist silently. It seemed that although the Williams family kept a low profile, its pride in its bones still existed.
After Sonia entered, she saw a man in a dark blue handmade suit sitting in the office chair and turning to greet her, "Miss Sonia, I've heard a lot about you."
"Mr. Williams, it's my great honor to meet you." Sonia walked forward to shake hands with him. Then he invited her to sit down and then made a cup of tea for her.
The tea was warm.
She was very sensitive to it, and Latham smiled in a low voice aside. "It seems that you are quite keen."
She quietly picked up the teacup and took a sip. He asked, "Aren't you afraid of my poison?"
