Although it was Dylan’s first time making it, the taste was indeed not bad. There was indeed no bitter taste. 

Enduring the sweetness, Audrey drank a bowl of smoothie, feeling warm all over. Even her aching abdomen felt much better. 

“Thank you!” she said, glancing at Dylan with her lips pressed together. 

Dylan looked at Audrey gently and said, “Baby, don’t ever say thank you to me because it’s only right that I treat you well.” 

With Dylan’s vegetable smoothie with brown sugar, Audrey did feel much better. A short while later, she fell asleep again. 

The next day, Audrey was not feeling well, so she got up a bit late. 

When she went downstairs, she thought Dylan was handling business affairs. However, she saw him studying a cookbook upon walking up to him. 

“I made some oatmeal this morning and a few side dishes, all to your taste. Dylan put down the cookbook and went to the kitchen to bring out a bowl of oatmeal and a few side dishes. 

Audrey ate a spoonful of oatmeal. The oatmeal was smooth, sweet, and delicious. Even the side dishes tasted good. It was indeed her preferred taste. 

Noticing that Audrey enjoyed the food, Dylan heaved a sigh of relief and smiled a little. 

“Eat slowly. From now on, tell me what you want to eat, and I’ll make it for you. Dylan looked at her gently. 

Audrey’s hand that was holding the spoon paused. She looked up at Dylan and asked, “Did you make these yourself?” 

“Yes. I want to cook for you personally, I’ll cook for you from now on, okay?” His voice was deep and magnetic, incredibly gentle. 

Audrey initially thought the oatmeal and the side dishes were made by someone else, yet unexpectedly, they were made by Dylan himself. 

When she thought of how Dylan’s hands were scalded when he made a vegetable smoothie with brown yesterday, her gaze softened. 

“What do you want to eat for lunch? How about honey mustard ribs?” 

Audrey loved honey mustard ribs. Dylan had already checked how to make them. 

“Up to you.” 

After breakfast, Audrey returned to her room to rest, while Dylan went into the kitchen.

While he was cooking, his phone rang. Upon glancing at the caller ID, he answered the call. 

“Dylan, you come to ladale City and don’t even bring your little sweetheart out to meet your buddies. That’s not very considerate. What are you doing?” 

A young man’s casual voice came from the other end of the line. 

“Cooking, Dylan said, holding the phone in one hand and flipping through the cookbook with the other. 

The person on the other end of the line seemed to have auditory hallucinations. “What did you just say? What are you doing?” 

“Cooking!” Dylan frowned impatiently. “If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up!”

“Could it be that pigs can fly today? You’re actually cooking!” The person on the other end of the line was shocked and exclaimed, “Wait. When did you learn to cook?” 

“Yeah!” Dylan replied indifferently, not intending to say anything else. 

“There’s a gathering tonight. Do you want to join us? It’s been a long time since we last met. Although Josh Ken was surprised that this high and mighty scion knew how to cook, he did not press further and simply asked if he wanted to join the gathering. 

“What time?” 

“At eight this evening. The usual place 

Dylan thought for a moment and said indifferently. “I’ll ask. If I go, I’ll bring someone with me.” 

“Dylan, what’s wrong with you? Do you have a girlfriend now?” Josh was shocked. 

He thought. This perpetually single guy has gotten into a relationship, huh?” 

“I’m pursuing her,” Dylan replied indifferently. 

“Alright. Bring her along then for your buddies to take a look and assess. Congratulations, you’ve finally escaped the pain of the past!” 

The Ken family was also a prominent family in ladale City. In his early years, Josh was sent to live with his maternal grandparents in Northville for about ten years. He could be considered a childhood friend of Dylan’s. Later, he returned to the Ken family’s home in ladale City. 

Although he did not know much about Dylan’s personal matters, he knew that this distinguished man had always been unable to get over a certain woman. Now that he heard his good friend’s tone, he reckoned his friend had freed himself from the past pain, so he could not help but be happy for him. 

Dylan did not say much. After hanging up, he continued to study the different styles of preparing dishes. 

After he was done preparing four dishes and a soup, he took out a few fresh oranges and made orange juice. 

As the oranges had just been taken out of the fridge, the juice was a little cold. By the time the juice was ready, the temperature was just right when Audrey came downstairs. 

Audrey had slept for a few more hours. She didn’t feel hungry because she had eaten a lot in the morning 

It was already past one o’clock when she woke up again. 

After washing up in the bathroom, Audrey went downstairs. Just as she reached the top of the stairs, she smelled a pleasant 

aroma 

When she went downstairs, she saw Dylan handling business matters in the living room. Hearing the noise from the bottom of the stairs, he looked up. 

When he saw Audrey, he stood up spontaneously and walked over to hold her hand. 

“You’re up,” he said. “Are you hungry? The dishes have been kept warm. I’ll bring them out.” 

Dylan brought Audrey to the dining room and seated her. Then, he went to the kitchen to bring out the dishes and cutlery. 

The simple four dishes and soup looked good and smelled good. One could indeed see no signs that this was the first time Dylan cooked. 

An outstanding and distinguished man was unbelievably perfect even if it was his first time cooking. 

Audrey had eaten a lot in the morning and had not been hungry. Now that she was awake, she felt hungry,
