Cordelia sighed and muttered to herself, "I didn't expect Eason to have such a childish side."
He actually went along with Imogen's antics.
So Cordelia had no choice but to reply to Imogen's message. [Thank you so much for this, but please don't do it again...]
[Haha...] Imogen immediately responded. It was obvious that she enjoyed stirring up trouble and didn't mind pouring oil on the flame.
Cordelia helplessly turned off her phone to avoid unnecessary complications, claiming that she needed beauty sleep.
With the phone off, the world was tranquil.
She enjoyed a comfortable hot shower, feeling relaxed. Then she went to bed.
It wasn't until the next morning when her phone automatically turned on and the alarm rang, that she reluctantly opened her sleepy eyes.
There was a knock on the door from outside.
It was early in the morning. Cordelia thought it was the landlady, so she rushed to open the door with her hair disheveled.
But she froze as soon as she opened the door.
"You... Why are you here again?"
If she remembered it correctly, this guy had just returned to Beilve City yesterday afternoon.
Elijah had an exhausted look on his face as he said, "Can I come in and rest for a while?"
"Oh, come in then!" Cordelia stepped aside and let him in.
She didn't notice that from the moment Elijah stepped into her room, and he looked around as if searching for something.
After he saw that there were no signs of any man having been in Cordelia's room, his tense nerves relaxed.
While taking off his suit jacket, Elijah said, "I came here to explain in person."
Cordelia paused in her steps as she was heading towards the bathroom and turned to him in confusion. "Explain what?"
