Eason was still a little hesitant. After all, they were on the street and hugging might not be appropriate.
However, before he could react, the petite figure in front of him threw herself into his arms.
"Eason, I'm hurt. My heart is so hurt, I can hardly breathe from the pain."
She cried heart-rendingly. No matter the occasion or how passers-by looked at her, she didn't care about anything. She only wanted to be wilful and cry hard!
Eason hugged her tightly without hesitation, lowered his head, and lightly patted her back like coaxing a child. He patted her again and again, clumsily coaxing her.
"Cry, cry for as long as you want, and sleep when you're tired from crying. I'm here!"
At this moment, Eason tasted the uncomfortable feeling in his heart for the first time.
He didn't know seeing Cordelia cry bitterly would make him so uncomfortable.
And at that moment, there was a loud noise from the opposite street.
Immediately afterward, there was a loud bang.
Eason looked up and saw the consecutive rear-end traffic accidents on the opposite side.
And the leading car seemed to crash into the green belt beside the road...
Cordelia lay at home all day.
During that time, countless people visited her, but she ignored them all.
Till evening, Imogen came to look for Cordelia and was stunned when she saw Cordelia's red and swollen eyes and haggard face.
At the coffee table in the living room, there were leftovers from last night's birthday cake and a half bottle of red wine.
Imogen thought Cordelia was troubled by love and quickly said, "Oh my goodness, did you know that Elijah had a car accident!"
Cordelia's indifferent eyes moved slightly, and she looked at Imogen. "Really? Is he seriously injured?"
