He was pretty jealous, especially of Eason. He never lowered his guard on Eason.
Thinking of this, Cordelia held his forehead, feeling a slight headache.
There was no other way but to wait for him to turn on the phone at the moment.
At about 11 o'clock, Elijah called in.
"Are you awake?" His tone was gentle.
Cordelia said happily, "I got up early, couldn't reach you, and was restless all morning."
Elijah chuckled, "I'm sorry, there are too many things to do since I came back to Beilve City. I received a call from my dad in the early morning, saying that Grandpa had a heart attack..."
"Is Sir Hansen okay?" Cordelia asked.
"Not really, but he's out of danger now, and I'm staying in the hospital for observation," Elijah said flatly.
"Well, I have to stay in Grant City for a while. When I can return, I will notify you as soon as possible," Cordelia said obediently.
"Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Elijah's expression instantly turned cold.
He returned to the ward and said in a cold tone, "Grandpa, I will not agree to your request. You should give up!"
What Gideon hated most at the moment was the word "give up."
He immediately coughed excitedly. His face turned red.
"All you want is to be with that poisonous woman. You want to piss me off, don't you? Mr. Price's apprentice is so capable and respectful to her elders. Unlike that Cordelia, who refused to check on me!"
While helping Gideon calm himself, Gabe said to Elijah, "Elijah, stop it. Don't provoke Grandpa anymore."
