When Cordelia fell into Eason's arms, she lost consciousness for a brief moment.
When she regained her senses, she found herself lying in a guest room at Adam's house.
Next to her, Eason held her hand, looking at her with worry.
Cordelia moved her fingers and said with a bitter smile, "Eason, did you try to wake me up?"
"Yes, I tried to wake you up, but it didn't work, so I called Milo for advice. He told me to fan some wind at you, and if you didn't wake up, we should take you to the hospital," Eason said apologetically.
"I'm fine. I was just too anxious." Cordelia frowned and looked away uncomfortably.
Suddenly, a shadow cast over her.
She turned her gaze and saw Eason standing up abruptly, his hands on both sides of her head, his deep eyes staring at her intently.
"Cordelia, is it worth it for Elijah? What does he have that's worth your love?"
Cordelia stared at Eason in a daze. She felt the aura emitted from Elijah was unfamiliar at this moment and domineering like never before.
"It's your personal matter, and I have no right to interfere. But I don't want to see you making the same mistakes again, Cordelia," Eason said earnestly.
Cordelia avoided eye contact, afraid to look into Eason's eyes.
She curled up slowly, like a child devoid of a sense of security, silent.
At that moment, Imogen and Adam entered the room one after another.
"Is Cordelia awake? Cordelia..."
From their perspective, their postures seemed somewhat ambiguous, and Adam's voice gradually weakened.
