There was a forlorn look about Elijah's deep eyes at this moment. His heart had already sunk to the bottom without a trace of hope.
"It's not important anymore. Please don't waste my time," Cordelia said, ruthlessly pulling her arm away from his hand and walking into the room.
At this time, Imogen sat on the couch with a calm expression.
When she saw Cordelia come in, her eyes lit up, and she immediately ran over and hugged Cordelia.
At the same time, Imogen said in her ear, "Cordelia, you have been fooled. Ben scared me to lure you here."
As she said that, Imogen looked at her with complicated eyes and apologized, "I'm sorry, Cordelia."
Cordelia shook her head to show it was okay. "Glad you're fine. Your safety is more important than anything else."
Sitting on the couch, Ben suddenly applauded for their deep friendship.
Cordelia frowned at him. Ben stood up, patted the folds on his clothes casually, glanced at Cordelia and Imogen contemptuously, and looked at Elijah.
He said coldly and weirdly, "Elijah, have you given up now? I told you Cordelia is a heartless woman. Now, she finally sees a bright future. She is thriving in Grant City and isn't interested in you anymore."
"Will you just shut up?" Elijah gritted his teeth in his heart, wishing he could fight with Ben.
Ben was really in need of a beating.
Compared with Ben, Eason, who stood silently the entire time, looked more pleasing to the eye.
Cordelia smiled brightly. "You even thought of such an unimaginable reason, Ben? Did I make him get engaged to another woman? Or did I make him date her fiancée in the middle of the night and then go back to the apartment together?"
