Cordelia didn't resist this time and immersed herself in this long-lost sweet kiss.
Elijah's attitude was good. Cordelia could feel that he was eager to redefine her as his girlfriend.
But even if they were back together, could it work?
She could almost imagine that their relationship could be in jeopardy at any time after they started dating again.
After the kiss, Elijah stared at her beautiful eyes, expecting her answer.
Cordelia shook her head helplessly. "Elijah, I don't think you love me that much. And I am very sensible now and will not fall in love with you as stupidly as before."
Elijah was stunned for a moment, then slowly let go of his hand holding her.
He picked up the glass in front of Cordelia and drank the rest in one gulp.
"Cordelia, do you fall in love with someone else?" Elijah asked.
"No," Cordelia replied without hesitation, "Except for you, no one can give me that feeling anymore. You're the only man I've ever loved in my whole life."
Seeing how determined she was, Elijah felt slightly relieved and smiled again.
"Imogen said that my love for you was a waste. No matter how much I like you, you don't know, and you don't even feel it at all. I once felt that I was a failure." Cordelia continued.
Elijah frowned and thought about her words carefully.
Undoubtedly, he didn't notice it because this woman used to hide it too well.
Even if she occasionally showed some emotion, he thought it was just a play on the occasion for her in-laws and outsiders to see.
Elijah never imagined that his marriage partner, who suddenly appeared, would start secretly falling in love with him a long time ago.
"Therefore, I want to be honest with you. If we still can't be honest and trust each other, then even if we start dating again, we will still break up in the end. Do you agree, Elijah?"
Cordelia believed that learning to communicate was the most important thing between them.
This was not easy to do.
