His sudden voice attracted everyone's attention to him, and then they looked at Cordelia again.
Cordelia was expressionless and cursed inwardly, "This jerk! He really knows how to attract attention."
Then, Eason said, "Didn't Ms. Carter ask someone to help you deal with it just now?"
Elijah didn't even look at Eason and fixed his eyes on Cordelia's beautiful face from the beginning to the end.
He said faintly, "Do you want other women to touch me?" His voice was not loud, but it was enough to shock everyone in the conference room.
Cordelia gritted her teeth, stood up abruptly, and said sullenly, "Come with me."
Elijah curled his lips into a faint smile, glanced at Eason, stood up lazily, and followed Cordelia out of the conference room.
Eason looked at his back coldly. Even though he always stayed composed regardless of what happened, there was still a hint of viciousness in his eyes at this time.
Back to her office, Cordelia found the first-aid kit and applied the antiseptic directly to the wound on Elijah's hand.
The heart-piercing burning sensation made Elijah's lazy expression change. Letting out a groan, he looked at Cordelia and asked suspiciously, "Are you trying to murder your husband?"
"I am single and have no husband," Cordelia said calmly, disinfecting and bandaging his wound neatly.
Elijah smiled, "Are you trying to murder your ex-husband?"
"Don't be flirtatious. The meeting has been postponed for ten minutes because of you. You have to take full responsibility." Cordelia said in a business-like manner.
However, Elijah directly changed the topic. "I will send you back after the meeting later."
"I came here in Eason's car. His driver will naturally take me back, and you don't have to worry about that," Cordelia said coldly.
"Cordelia..." Elijah grabbed Cordelia's arm with his gauze-wrapped hand.
