Chapter 68 A Fancy Dress
It turned out that all along, in Elijah’s eyes, she was quite dull.
Cordelia suddenly remembered her past self. She didn’t like dressing up or wearing makeup.
When Elijah came home, she would always be in the same plain pajamas, looking old-fashioned and uninteresting, not to mention her lack of conversation.
Now, as she thought back, she indeed seemed quite boring before.
“So what about now?” Cordelia looked at him calmly, but she was quite curious.
Elijah pinched her delicate chin and countered, “Do you want to know?”
“Yes,” Cordelia replied.
Elijah then tilted his head slightly and pointed at his cheek.
Cordelia had no choice but to kiss him when he suddenly turned aside, letting her kiss fall on his lips.
Cordelia was slightly startled, her pretty face flushed slightly. “You are so childish.”
“I like it,” the man said lightly.
Cordelia didn’t know if he liked such a naive behavior or what she had become now.
But she didn’t dare to think further, fearing that her fragile heart would be broken once more.
They soon returned home. Not long after, someone came to visit.
Cordelia had just taken a shower and came down from upstairs. “It’s so late. Who…”
Her words stopped abruptly when she saw a lot of musical instruments in the living room.
Cordelia picked up a triangle and asked, “Elijah, are you serious?”
Elijah glanced at it and said, “Well, that’s probably a gift.”
“Why do you suddenly want to buy all these? And in such hurry?” Cordelia asked curiously.
a
Elijah suddenly approached her and pressed her against the wall.
“Why do you have so many questions? The whole world has heard you play the violin, but I know nothing about it!”
Cordelia’s eyes rounded as she stared at Elijah, feeling surprised that he was actually angry.
She mumbled, “Is it really necessary to be in such a hurry?”
Elijah tightened his grip on her slender waist. “Cordelia, I’m your real husband. All those fans of yours are not!”
Cordelia was baffled.
She thought for a while and wondered if Elijah was angry because of those bullet comments on her video.
Audiences nowadays, whether male or female, liked to call female celebrities affectionately, but it was just a form of interaction. Cordelia didn’t expect Elijah to get upset over such
matters.
“Okay, okay, I’ll perform for you now. What instrument do you want to hear?” Cordelia gave in with a helpless look.
Elijah said, “The flute.”
Cordelia stared at him. “You know I can’t play the flute!”
Elijah suddenly laughed and teased her, “Alright, I was just joking.”
Cordelia gritted her teeth. “Stop joking!”
Elijah rubbed his nose. “The violin. Just like what you did at the Taylor Manor today.”
