The smile on Martha's face faded. She let go of the hand on Hamish, looked at Isobel who was walking back again, and let out a tsk, "It seems that I misunderstood Miss Lewis. It turns out that Miss Lewis really did take the things Hamish gave you as trash!"
She said this was to provoke a disagreement. If it were in the past, Isobel would have already dissed her.
But today she had already been hurt twice by Hamish. She didn't want to hand him a knife and let him stab her again.
Isobel looked at the two of them and smiled, "Nothing, I have a habit of cleaning up old things regularly. If I really embarrassed Miss Sutton because of this, don't mind, I'll give you an apology."
After that, she looked down at her watch, "Excuse me, I have to go back to the office."
With that, Isobel stepped on her heels and walked to a parked taxi not far away and waved. Soon, she left in the taxi.
Once Isobel left, the play broke up. Martha said she had a date with a friend. She blew Hamish a kiss and left.
Freddie watched Martha's back as she walked away. He didn't look at Hamish until she was gone, "How do you feel?"
Hearing his words, Hamish raised an eyebrow, "Martha is right. Does Yasmin know that you're being so nice to Isobel?"
Freddie choked on his words and his face sank. He sneered, "Fine, I was nosy. I hope you don't have a day to regret it."
"You think too much."
To him, Isobel was just a woman whose looks and personality could catch his eye. As for the title of his future wife, it was not her turn yet.
The car had been driven completely out of the hotel. Isobel closed her eyes and found a tear in the corner of her eye.
She was glad she had run fast, otherwise she would have ended up being a real joke.
Martha didn't have a date with her friend, but she did ask someone out.
This man was Kit, a notorious playboy inside their circle who liked to have fun with women.
