Chapter 153 Call Me Master
Josephine’s pupils dilated as she attempted to rise and escape, but a forceful push sent her back onto the couch. She pulled her legs to herself, curling into a ball, resembling a cornered kitten that had tucked its head inwards to hide from what it was afraid of.
“Do you think a mute will make a sound when she’s feeling it?”
“Let’s test it out. I’ve never played with a mute before, so who knows what it will feel like.”
“Goddamn it, man. Women are all the same. What difference is there going to be? At most, it will feel like you’re banging a corpse?”
“But corpses can’t move.”
She involuntarily trembled from terror as she listened to their conversation. Glancing past them, she spotted a knife and fork on the table. Her heart was beating uncontrollably, and her fingers were tightly clenched. One of the men dragged her to him by her legs, and another immediately pinned her hands down. Her struggle appeared feeble and futile against these
men.
“Wow, you really are mute. You don’t even cry out when you’re already like this?”
Someone mercilessly punched her in the gut. Her vision went dark from the pain, and her mouth fell open, releasing a faint sound.
The men were excited by this.
“Damn, she made a sound!” exclaimed one of them, his voice filled with excitement as though. he had made a groundbreaking discovery.
Someone pinched her leg to try and hear her cry out in pain again. She writhed in pain, turned her head, and bit the man’s wrist.
The man hissed in pain and released his grip.
She quickly tried to get to her feet, but someone grabbed her by her hair and shoved her head. back down against the couch. Some began stripping her, and others were eagerly taking off their pants. She bit the tip of her tongue and forced herself not to look. Lewis‘ loathing gaze flashed through her mind, and she felt a stabbing sensation in her heart. Taking a deep breath, she bit down hard on her tongue.
Abruptly, a resounding bang echoed through the air, accompanied by the shattering of glass and the ensuing cries of men in agony.
“Fuck!” cursed one of the men.
He turned around and was about to continue when a beer bottle was smashed against his skull. Blood oozed from the fresh cut on his head, and he instantly fell to the floor. The others

immediately reacted and charged at the intruder.
Opening her eyes, she turned to look. The private room was dimly lit, and the intruder was surrounded. His face remained obscured by the men surrounding him, but she caught sight of a tuxedo that seemed oddly familiar. Recognition flashed in her eyes, and she quickly sat up, straightening her clothes.
“You got a death wish, punk?”
“Don’t move.”
Bob was about to attack when the intruder pulled out a gun and held it against his forehead. Everyone instantly froze and didn’t dare move.
“W–Who are you?!”
“Get lost,” Seth said with a nudge of his head towards the door, ignoring Bob’s question.
The men exchanged glances with one another before their gaze settled on the gun in Seth’s hand. They knew they were no match for him. However, as soon as they stepped outside the room, they found themselves immediately surrounded.
Lively music continued to blare from the speakers, yet the empty private room somehow exuded a profound sense of loneliness.
Seth looked toward the couch.
Josephine was looking at him too. She had pressed herself against the backrest of the couch. She held the collar of her blouse closed, and her hair was a mess as she stared at him with misty eyes. She would never know how much of a crime it was for her to look so pitiful and fragile.
He stared at her for a moment before he hobbled over to her, dragging his injured leg behind him. He sat down beside her. She looked at him in puzzlement.
With his trademark smirk on his face, his gaze lowered to the black tracker around her ankle before he said, “Well, well. You came all the way here to look for Lewis, and yet why isn’t he here to save you?”
She pursed her lips and glanced down at the tracking anklet, which also doubled as a listening device. She thought that he must have shown up here because of this. Despite his violent. nature and past instances of torture, she never could have imagined that he would be the one coming to her rescue.
“Thank you.” She still signed to him.
“Your gratitude is worthless,” he stated, rising to his feet but promptly flopping back down due to the injury on his leg.
She shifted her gaze toward his leg and noticed blood seeping from a wound, dying his black trousers an even deeper shade.

“You’re bleeding,” she signed.
Seth appeared not to feel any pain at all as he was still smiling. “What’s the matter? Are you worried about me?”
Josephine averted her gaze, got up, and moved to leave. She didn’t want to risk offending him again.
“You’re so heartless. I just saved you. How could you just leave like this?”
She halted midstep and turned to look at him. His face appeared pale under the light, likely from blood loss, and his smile seemed weak. She mulled it over before raising her hands and signing, “I’ll help you tend to your wound, but could you please leave me alone after that?”
His smile became cheeky as he watched her moving hands. Her earnest expression made her
look so naïve and innocent.
“I’ll think about it after you’ve helped me.”
She remained where she was, not daring to approach him..
“Don’t you want to remove the tracker around your ankle?” he continued.
She regarded him dubiously, her expression revealing her skepticism. Unfortunately, she did not fall for it.
“Come and give me a hand.”
