Whitney's eyes widened in disbelief.
"When have I ever seduced you? Noel, don't speak nonsense." She struggled with all her might, but she was pressed down onto the flower stands by Noel.
His eyes were dark, and he gazed at her as if he was trying to see into her soul. "That night, you intentionally cut off the power in your house. Then, you texted me and asked me to go up. If that's not seduction, then I don't know what is."
In the beginning, Noel had been confused as well. Then, he recalled Whitney's behavior, as well as the fact that she didn't dare to meet his eyes. When he also considered her flushed cheeks, he finally understood something.
She'd done it on purpose.
Whitney froze. She was speechless, and her whole face was redder than a tomato.
She'd thought that she'd gotten past him without him finding out. Who knew that he'd see through her?
"I… I was…" Whitney stuttered. She wanted to explain, but she didn't know how to.
Noel smirked mockingly. "What were you trying to do? I know I'm right."
"No. I was just being impulsive. I hadn't meant to text you, but it was already too late to delete it."
Whitney came clean about everything. She'd lost her composure in this situation.
Although her reason was rather embarrassing, she refused to allow Noel to believe that she was seducing him.
"You were being impulsive…" Noel looked thoughtful. "You had electricity at home, but you lied on purpose. That means you wanted to see me. If you had a valid reason, you wouldn't have needed to do that. Unless…"
He paused and leaned close to her ear. His breath tickled her neck as he whispered sexily, "You like me."
"No! I don't like you at all!" Whitney shut him down immediately. Fear was written all over her face.
Noel's eyes flashed. He watched her lips part nervously and glint softly in the light.
His Adam's apple bobbed, and he raised a hand to caress her fair skin. Her cheek was smooth and supple.
Whitney had a bad feeling. In the next moment, Noel leaned down and kissed her.
He'd just come into contact with her soft, warm lips when noises came from the door.
Someone said, "Let me go!"
Another person replied, "Why would I do that? Just for you to go on another blind date?"
A chill ran down Whitney's spine. Rachel and Damian were outside, while her and Noel were currently in a compromising position.
Whitney glared at Noel nervously. She did not dare to say a word, terrified that the other two people outside would hear her. She struggled against him once more before frowning deeply.
