Beatrice stared at the man beside her and said quickly, “He was my uncle. Distant relative.” “Even distant relatives are close. Mr. Caden is actually you… Uncle Caden?” Audrey almost dropped the plate of dumplings in her hands. 

Beatrice raised her hand and took the plate. “Yes, he was passing by and left now.” She pushed Caden with her arm, signaling him to hurry up. 

Caden was as steady as Mount Tai, and he lowered his gaze to the plate of dumplings. Audrey, with sharp eyes, cautiously asked, “Mr. Caden, do you want to eat? I made a lot.” Beatrice continued to interrupt: “He doesn’t eat! He has already eaten with someone else! I’ll eat with you.” 

“Have you never eaten with anyone else?” Caden glanced at Beatrice with a faint gaze. 

The air suddenly became still. 

Audrey’s gaze wandered between the two, were they uncle and niece?
