Chapter 48 Leave It to Fate
Beatrice pushed her long, disheveled hair back from her forehead, with water clinging to her face. Her pale complexion had a hint of brokenness, and her lips, covered in a layer of mist, resembled freshly washed grapes.
The water droplet fell down and wetted her patient gown.
The blue and white striped patient gown clung tightly to her skin.
In the place where she couldn’t see, beautiful collarbones were revealed, along with the fullness accentuated by the light–colored underwear.
Beatrice had no idea what had happened, but she could sense that the man in front of her was breathing heavily.
She stepped back, he approached.
There was no way to retreat in the end.
He was right in front of her, with an unabashedly domineering gaze, like a wild beast eyeing its
prey.
He raised his hand, and Beatrice held her breath, tightly gripping the ring in her hand. Suddenly, a dry towel fell on top of her head.
“He left,” his voice croaked out of tune.
“Uncle Caden, your ring.”
‘Beatrice took out a fingerstall.
Caden held her hand and used it to slide the ring onto his thumb.
Beatrice didn’t understand what it meant, she only felt a gust of wind pass by, followed by the sound of a door closing.
She didn’t think much and entered the shower room, only to realize how thoroughly exposed she was when she raised her hand to take off her clothes.
My heart was filled with indignation.
After taking a shower, Beatrice walked out of the bathroom, drying her hair. Her hair was not dry yet, so she had to sit on the edge of the bed.
Suddenly, the floating breath came to a halt in front of her, and she was taken aback.
‘Uncle Caden?”
“Don’t call me Uncle Caden,” Caden said impatiently.

few minutes later, the hairdryer stopped, and a pair of large hands brushed through her hair, supporting her head.
She was stunned for a moment, and her hand involuntarily clenched into a fist. Caden observed these small actions, and his deep eyes gradually faded away:

A deep and cold voice emanated from Caden’s thin lips, carrying a dangerous tone of displeasure. No, Beatrice replied, tilting her head slightly.
She could not involve Oscar.
But as soon as the finished speaking, the large palm supporting her head exerted force little by lile, and her body uncontrollably lifted off the ground.
She couldn’t see Caden, but she could feel his eyes, like deep pools, squinting slightly, emitting a strong sense of oppression.
“Is that so
“Yes! To me, you were no different from my older brother.”
Beatrice couldn’t stand the oppression and immediately raised her hand to struggle.
I don’t know if it’s because they couldn’t see his courage, but they effortlessly pulled down Caden’s arms.
“No difference? Say it again,” Caden’s voice tinged with menace.
Beatrice choked, unable to utter a word for a moment. She stubbornly turned her head, as if only by doing so could she escape this sense of oppression.
Caden commanded, “Lie down.”
Beatrice snorted coldly and turned her back, lying down.
“Uncle Caden, there is no need to do this for Madelynn’s sake if it means I can’t bear it. You two have done enough, and I don’t care about this one anymore.”
Caden stood by the bed, looking at her indifferently, “Do you have any evidence to prove did?”

Finally, he added without any emotion, I don’t want to hear such things in the future.”
Beatrice listened and felt a chill run through her body.
So he had long predicted that she couldn’t catch him with evidence, and he indulged Madelynn’s scheming without any scruples.
She wasn’t surprised, after all, she had already experienced it in her past life. But going through it again, she still felt the pain in her soul.
She had always been choosing different paths, but fate and power still haunted her like ghosts.
Heatrice pulled the blanket over herself and ignored him.
Caden left the ward and walked expressionlessly to the smoking area, taking out a cigarette and tapping it twice on the cigarette box, lost in thought.
Keith walked over before the ignition.
“Mr. Caden, previously you asked me to investigate the situation between Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Bradford, and I have made some progress.”
He handed over the documents.
Caden opened the file with a cigarette in his mouth.

Keith reported on the side, “Here is the competition design draft that Ms. Bradford handed over
the school, and behind it is Ms. Bradford’s previous design draft.” The style is completely different.
Keith poked the deadline again and said, “It was the day after Ms. Lindsey stayed overnight at your place when she went to look for you. It is said that the school was pressuring Ms. Lindsey to submit her assignment that day, but she couldn’t hand in a single piece.” “The competition entry was also tirelessly made by Ms. Lindsey for three days.” That’s all for now, it’s not difficult to guess what happened.
Beatrice tried her best in the competition, but in the end, she lost to Madelynn. The celebration party was almost insulted.
Now, he is blind again due to the stimulation.
Keith didn’t know what to say for a moment, and could only sincerely admire Beatrice’s perseverance.
Caden closed the file and lit a cigarette.
Under the dim light, the smoke turned into a bluish–gray color and gradually dissipated in the air. Caden’s cold and lonely ink eyes flickered with faint ripples. As he lowered his gaze, the cigaretté between his fingers was abruptly snapped in half.
“Keith,” he glanced at Keith.
“Mr. Caden, I understood.”
Keith followed Caden for many years, and with just one look, he knew what he wanted to o However…
“Mr. Caden, do you need me to go and explain to Ms. Lindsey?”
“No need, let’s go.”
Caden threw the half–smoked cigarette into
into the trash can and left coldly.
The next morning.

The readers' comments on the novel: When Love Turns to Ashes (Beatrice and Caden)
I hope the admin team can look into this. It’s a long winded story with the same old plot on repeat. So now that Beatrice has found out she’s pregnant, no doubt she’ll once be at risk of people wanting to ensure she miscarriages since it’s Cadens. Doesn’t help shes also engaged to Odin....
The last 70 chapters are repeated. It goes back to the storyline of Madeline and Selina. Why’s is that?...
