When she left, He went crazy
Chapter 61 Christopher, we’re done!
It felt as though someone had torn apart my heart.
My tears wouldn’t come out anymore, and I weakly said, “I have no husband, no family. Please, you must save my
child.”
The nurse glanced between my legs, looking somewhat uncomfortable, but eventually said, “We will do our best.”
Hearing those words from the doctor brought me a sense of relief.
However, as soon as I was lifted onto the operating table and the doctor inquired about the situation, he said directly, “Call the anesthetist. Be ready to remove the uterus at any time.”
I stared at the glaring surgical light. My eyes were dry and sore.
The doctor lifted my ankle–length dress. He seemed to ask something, but I couldn’t hear anything because my brain was buzzing. However, I had no other choice.
I felt a slight sting on the back of my hand, and then I lost consciousness instantly, plunging into darkness.
“Mom.”
“Mom.1
“I’m leaving. You don’t want me anymore.”
As I watched the small figure move further away from me, I suddenly shouted, “No! I didn’t abandon you!”
When I opened my eyes, all I saw was a snow–white wall.
The room was so quiet, with only the sound of dripping medication. Elissa, who was standing by, suddenly stood up and asked nervously, “How do you feel?”
“Elissa, where is my child?”
“I’m sorry.” Elissa’s eyes immediately turned red.
I touched my abdomen, feeling numb, as if my soul had been taken away. “I dream that my child says I abandon him.”
“Hope…” Elissa’s eyes turned red, and she turned her head to wipe away tears. “It’s not your fault. “The baby must know you love it the most.”
“But I still couldn’t protect him. I sobbed..
Blame me.
All my fault.

It felt like there was a huge hole in my heart, and a cold wind was rushing in, causing my blood to turn cold.
Elissa shook her head. It’s not your fault, silly. Why are you un silly? If you feel sad, just cry, okay?
I want to eat cream cake! A weak voice came from outside the door.
The doctor says you can’t eat cold food recently. Christopher’s cold voice followed.
“Then can you carry me back to the ward?”
“Evelyn, when will you grow up a bit? Christopher sighed.
Elissa suddenly became angry, like a firecracker about to explode at any moment, and wanted to rush over.
I looked at her blankly and said, “Elissa, I don’t want to stay here anymore.”
She spoke with concern, “The doctor says you just had miscarriage surgery, which causes injuries to your body. It’s best to stay in the hospital for observation for two days.”
“I want to leave now.”
I got up straight, as if I felt almost no pain in my abdomen. Under Elissa’s astonished gaze, I directly pulled out the needle from the back of my hand, getting off the bed to leave.
“Hope!” Elissa quickly grabbed a bag of medicine from the bedside table and followed, “Okay, I’ll do as you say.”
Besides my lower abdomen, several parts of my body were aching. With Elissa supporting me, I didn’t walk very fast.
Unfortunately, we had to pass by Evelyn’s room as we reached the elevator.
“Hope?” When Evelyn caught sight of me, she abruptly called out and pushed Christopher. “I think I see Hope. Can you see if it’s her?”
Immediately, Christopher took a glance in my direction with his blue eyes, standing up and walking out.
Elissa seized the opportunity to lash out. “Christopher, do you even care about your wife?”
“Why don’t you stop her?”
Christopher stood before me, his expression frighteningly cold, sharply interrupting Elissa’s words. Each word pierced like a dagger into my heart.
“Hope, you are so smart and rational. Why do you watch her behave so recklessly like this? She is pregnant. Do you
know that?!
A barrage of questions hit me head on, leaving me frozen in place.
I rubbed my aching lower abdomen, still pale, and asked, “What do you say?”
She had a miscarriage!”

Christopher pointed toward the room, his eyes filled with malice. “She lost her baby! The doctor said she may never have children again! Hope, are you satisfied?!”
His accusatory words made my body tremble. My throat felt like it was blocked, and it took a while before I could say, “She has a miscarriage?”
But I also had a miscarriage.
Christopher.
The blood that flowed out of my body was our baby, whom I had been eagerly anticipating for so long.
I always thought that even if this terrible marriage ended one day, I would still have a baby to accompany
But now, it’s all gone.
It seemed like there was nothing left for me to look forward to.
Evelyn’s “recklessness,” as he referred to it, ultimately caused me to lose everything.
But in the end, I was the one who received the blame.
Christopher stared intently at me with his cheeks clenched. “Are you so happy watching her miscarry?”
I laughed even more recklessly. “Yes, she deserves it!”
Even though she traded her baby for my baby’s life, my resentment remained unabated.
His face was extremely cold, and a slap landed firmly on my face. “Hope, how can you be so heartless?”
I looked at him in astonishment, unable to tell if his slap hit my face or my heart.
I knew he didn’t love me, but I never expected that one day he would call me heartless for Evelyn and even hit me.
Years of feelings turned into a joke in an instant.
As I laughed, holding back tears that were about to burst out, I suddenly raised my hand and slapped him without
hesitation!
I shouted, “Christopher, we’re done!”
Completely done.
