Chapter 79 Won’t Call It That Way 

I sat up and turned on the bedside switch, the room suddenly brightening. 

Unexpectedly, I saw his haggard appearance. 

The usually elegant and noble man now had a stubble sunken eyes. He seemingly hasn’t slept for days, looking deflated.

I furrowed my brows lightly, “You should get some rest yourself instead of coming to see me.”

I clenched my fists mockingly. “Christopher, I don’t need your empathy. Just remember at all times that you killed your first baby with your own hands; that’s enough for me.” 

Pain flashed in his eyes, his thin lips slightly curved as he asked hoarsely, “Do you hate me that much?” 

“Despise,” I admitted frankly, “I despise both you and Evelyn. If you think you owe me or the baby even a little bit, just go with me next month as scheduled for the divorce.”
