Just then, a sleek black Mercedes-Maybach approached from the opposite lane, brushing past Claire's vehicle. The driver glanced back casually, just in time to see Claire rolling up her window. Even though he only caught a glimpse of her profile, he recognized her instantly.

Vincent's heart skipped a beat, almost leaping into his throat. He shouted, "Claire—" His voice cut sharply through the busy hum of traffic, drawing curious glances from all around.

At that moment, Vincent didn’t care about anything else—not even breaking traffic rules. The only thought consuming him was to catch up with Claire and never let her go again. He instinctively jerked the steering wheel, completely ignoring the chaos around him.

His sudden lane change threw the surrounding cars into disarray, honks blaring in protest. A loud crash followed as his car collided with another. The vehicle jolted violently, but Vincent seemed oblivious.

He quickly flung open the car door, disregarding any injuries, and dashed toward the direction Claire had gone, yelling, "Claire, don't go—"

Claire was in her car, having just rolled up the window, when a loud crash echoed from behind. Instinctively, she turned to look. Liam glanced in the rearview mirror, frowning, "Looks like there's been an accident back there."

A wave of unease washed over Claire as she faintly heard her name being called. Her heart clenched with anxiety.

"Liam, drive faster," she urged, trying to suppress her rising fear.
