Yvonne's legs gave way beneath her, and she fell to her knees at Sean's feet. Her knees slammed onto the ground with a dull thud, like a heavy hammer striking the hearts of those watching.
"Please, master Sean, have mercy on me. I truly understand my mistake!" Her voice was pitched with desperation, each word trembling out of her throat as if torn from her very soul, laden with despair and fear.
Tears streamed uncontrollably down her face, ruining the carefully applied makeup, leaving streaks of chaos in their wake.
Gone was her usual arrogance and defiance; she now resembled a hunted animal, cornered and terrified. She repeatedly bowed her head, her forehead meeting the cold floor with a series of dull, rhythmic thuds.
In mere moments, her forehead was swollen and bruised, with tiny rivulets of blood beginning to seep from beneath her skin, soon forming into crimson droplets that slid down her cheeks.
Those around her were frozen by the spectacle of her misery. Some turned their heads away, unable to bear the heart-wrenching scene, while others stood agape, shock etched across their faces.
After witnessing Sean's ruthless punishment of Vanessa and the four wealthy women earlier, everyone was acutely aware of his cold and unyielding nature. Knowing Yvonne was the main culprit in bullying Claire, they could only imagine the harsher fate that awaited her.
Sean stood like an emotionless statue, his gaze icy and unyielding as he looked down at Yvonne. There was no hint of compassion in his demeanor.
He tilted his chiseled chin slightly upward and addressed Liam, who stood ready at his side. His voice was low but carried an undeniable authority: "Take her into the back room."
Liam nodded immediately, motioning for a few burly guards to step forward.
Their iron-like grips closed around Yvonne's arms, wrenching her from Sean's feet with force.
"No, please! Let me go!" Yvonne shrieked, kicking wildly and clawing at the floor, her nails creating a cacophony of screeches.
Her cries pierced the tense air of the hall.
Having been part of the Foster family for over twenty years, she knew all too well the extent of Sean's methods.
Anything he dared to do openly was with impunity; what he did in private was even more brutal, leaving no trace behind. Like earlier, he had orchestrated others to harm the wealthy women, ensuring any fallout could be dismissed as domestic disputes.
