Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 249

Adah lay sprawled on the floor, her body shaking uncontrollably. Her tears flowed freely, as if a dam inside her had burst.

Her arms reached out in desperation, fingers clawing at the air, as if she could somehow pull back Claire, who had left without a backward glance.

"Claire! Claire!" she shouted, her voice cracking with the weight of her grief and despair, the sound raspy and piercing, echoing with endless pain and regret.

But in the empty hospital room, the only response was the sound of her own anguished cries. Claire's silhouette had long disappeared beyond the door.

Out in the hospital corridor, Claire walked with steady steps, her resolve unshaken. As she reached the corner, she suddenly stopped.

Jeffry, who had been following her pace, paused too, a hint of confusion in his eyes. "Why did Ms. Linwood stop?" he asked softly.

From where Claire stood, she had a clear view of Nathan's room. Her eyes narrowed slightly, a sharp glint in them like a shooting star across the night sky. A knowing, almost mischievous smile played at her lips, filled with anticipation.

"What do you think Mrs. Linwood will do next?" she murmured.

Jeffry thought for a moment. "She’ll probably confront Nathan."

Claire let out a soft chuckle, devoid of warmth. "That's what I think too. There’s going to be quite a show, and I wouldn't miss it for the world."

A look of surprise crossed Jeffry’s face. He had known Claire for over a month now, always finding her to be gracious and composed. Yet, seeing her now, plotting revenge against those who had wronged her, he realized there was a new side to Ms. Linwood—one of unyielding strength and determination. It struck him that those who underestimated her would soon regret their folly.
