Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 261

Vincent was completely consumed by rage, his mind clouded with fury as he shook the iron bars with reckless abandon.

CLANG. CLANG. CLANG.

The metal rattled under his brute strength, groaning as if it might snap at any moment.

His eyes bulged wide, every muscle in his face contorted by anger until his features seemed almost monstrous—like a demon unleashed from hell itself. It was enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

"You miserable wretch!" Vincent's voice tore through the air, raw and hoarse. "I'll kill you!"

He thrashed and raged like a rabid dog, completely out of his mind.

Vanessa only watched, delight swelling inside her like a dam that had finally burst. The sight of Vincent unraveling fueled her exhilaration to new, dizzying heights.

She let out a sharp, piercing laugh that echoed through the cellblock, an uncanny counterpoint to Vincent's howls.

The more he raged, the louder and more wildly she laughed.

"Come on, what are you waiting for? Do it—kill me if you can!" Vanessa shouted, her voice taunting, eyes gleaming with mockery. "Pathetic coward. Regret won't save you now—it's far too late!"

She laughed and twisted her body deliberately, as if flaunting her victory right in Vincent's face.

All the commotion quickly drew the guards' attention.

Two officers rushed in, grabbing Vincent by the arms and pinning him back.

Vincent fought them with everything he had, kicking and twisting, desperate to break free and lunge at Vanessa.

"Let me go! Let me go!" he screamed, his throat almost gone, voice cracking with the effort. "I'll kill her, I swear I'll kill her!"

His gaze never left Vanessa, burning with a hatred that looked ready to set her ablaze.

As the officers dragged Vincent away, Vanessa's smile only grew brighter. She stuck out her tongue at him in a childish, mocking gesture. "Go ahead and rot out there in your misery. When I get out, I'll be on the first plane out of here, living it up while you waste away in your pitiful regrets."

"Bitch—!"

Vincent's furious curses faded as he was hauled down the endless hallway, soon swallowed up by the silence.

Outside, night had fallen long ago.
