Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 315

Sean didn’t manage to fall asleep until nearly four in the morning.

Barely three hours later, his phone erupted with a shrill ring, yanking him from a restless slumber.

He fumbled for his phone, his voice rough with exhaustion. “Hello?”

Liam’s voice came through the line. “Mr. Foster, there’s a crucial meeting in Eastborough today that needs your personal attention. I’ll swing by to pick you up soon.”

“Alright,” Sean replied, exhaling deeply.

Liam seemed to catch the fatigue in Sean’s tone—he sounded drained, nothing like his usual self.

“Sir, are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” Sean said curtly, and ended the call.

He forced himself to sit up, only for a wave of dizziness to wash over him—low blood sugar. His lips twisted in discomfort as he cursed under his breath, making a silent vow: Never again with the takeout. Never.

After a quick shower and getting dressed in a sharp black suit, Sean opened his bedroom door.

The moment he did, the familiar pungent smell of cilantro hit him full in the face.

Sean’s heart sank.

Claire stood in the kitchen, her usual gentle smile lighting up her face. “Good morning, Mr. Foster. You’re up just in time—I made some noodles for breakfast. Come and have some.”

Sean’s gaze drifted to the steaming bowl on the table.

Maybe he’d eaten too quickly yesterday, giving Claire the impression he hadn’t had enough. Today’s portion looked even larger.

Claire’s smile grew warmer. “You’re up early today. No need to rush out like yesterday—just take your time. And if it’s not enough, there’s more in the kitchen.”

Sean felt his lips twitch again in resignation.

He really should explain his cilantro allergy to Claire, but seeing the hopeful look in her eyes, the words died in his throat.

It’s just an allergy, he told himself. Worst case, he could always take some medicine later.

Still, as he walked towards the table, his steps were a little hesitant.

Just as he sat down, the doorbell rang.
