Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 354

He had always assumed Mr. Foster didn’t even know who he was.

Overjoyed and without a hint of suspicion, Asher made his way to Suite 101—and sure enough, his old classmates were already there.

With everyone fawning over him, Asher felt his ego soar. He was practically floating, basking in their praise and attention.

“All right, now that we’re all here, let’s take our seats,” he announced.

As soon as he spoke, the entire group sat down obediently.

Asher’s eyes immediately found Claire in the crowd.

Back in high school, Claire had been the girl of his dreams—the one he’d wanted most but never managed to win over.

He’d chased after her for ages, but she was a total enigma. No matter what he did to impress her, she never budged.

There’s an old saying: what you can’t have is always the most desirable.

Sure, he was married now, but that didn’t stop him from seeking a little fun on the side.

In fact, he’d already made up his mind to file for divorce and take his wife for every penny she had—kick her out with nothing.

Once all her money was his, he could have his pick of women whenever he liked.

Asher’s gaze lingered on Claire, openly hungry, undressing her with his eyes. The more he looked, the more he thought she was even more beautiful now than she’d been in high school.

He couldn’t help but marvel internally at how little his tastes had changed over the years—he had always been drawn to women just like Claire.

Too bad, he thought, that in his rush to get ahead, he’d settled for marrying an only child from a mildly wealthy family—a woman who, frankly, reminded him of a pig. Sleeping next to her felt no different than cuddling livestock.

Everyone could see the way Asher was staring at Claire: blunt, greedy, and full of desire.

“Claire, you didn’t even RSVP, but you still showed up. Isn’t it obvious you’re here for our class heartthrob Asher? Now that you’ve seen him, what are you waiting for? Go say hello to Prince Charming,” someone teased.

Claire bristled with disgust at the way Asher was looking at her. His eyes made her skin crawl, as if he was stripping her naked right then and there.

She frowned. “Asher, are you sure you booked Suite 101?”

He raised his eyebrows, supremely confident. “Of course I did. I made the reservation myself—how could I get it wrong?”

Claire fell silent.
