Where Petals of Vengeance Bloom novel Chapter 94

The driver was in a panic, sweat dripping down his forehead, regretting his earlier decisions.

It wasn't until another half an hour had passed that Claire finally set her teacup down. "Let's go," she said coolly.

Feeling a wave of relief wash over him, the driver hurried to the car and opened the back door for Claire. "Miss, please get in."

Claire nodded with satisfaction and stepped into the car.

Meanwhile, the auction was already halfway through.

The Linwood family sat in the VIP section, all three of them.

Nathan's face grew darker with each passing minute. He leaned in and muttered under his breath, "The auction's been going on for ages, and that fool Claire still hasn't shown up?"

Adah, equally anxious, fretted, "Nathan, do you have Claire's phone number? Call her and find out what's going on."

"How would I have her number if you don't?" Nathan snapped back, irritated.

"If I had it, I would have called her already," Adah replied, stamping her foot in frustration. "Honestly, how could she be so careless? Didn't we tell her how important tonight's event was?"

Nathan gritted his teeth in anger. "I swear, she's doing this on purpose."

Ethan, frowning, pulled out his phone and started dialing. "I'll check with the driver," he said.

The call connected quickly, and he barked into the phone, "Why isn't Claire here yet?"

"Master Ethan, we just left the house," the driver replied, sounding a bit helpless.

Ethan's temper flared instantly. "What do you mean you just left? Didn't I tell you the auction starts at eight? It's already eight-thirty, and you're just leaving now?"

The driver opened his mouth to explain that it was because of Claire, but Ethan cut him off, his patience wearing thin. "Make sure she gets here before the auction ends," he ordered before hanging up.
