The girl glanced around, "Isn't Sherilyn here?"
"No, Sherilyn didn't come to the set today."
Naomi replied, "Is there something you need? I'm her assistant, and I'll be seeing her later."
"You're Naomi?"
As the assistant of the rising star, Naomi had earned a bit of a reputation in the fan community.
"Yes, that's me."
The girl handed her a box, "This is a gift for her. Can you please pass it on?"
"What's inside?"
Naomi asked, "Just to be clear, Sherilyn doesn't accept expensive gifts."
"It's not expensive!"
The girl quickly responded, "I made it myself. You'll see."
She opened the box to reveal a handmade coin purse. "You know, for carrying a phone, keys, that sort of thing. It's really handy!"
"Alright then."
Naomi felt reassured, "I'll take it. I'm heading to see her, so I'll make sure she gets it. Thank you on her behalf."
"You're welcome!"
The girl looked relieved, "I won't keep you any longer. I'll be off now!"
"Okay."
The girl turned and hurried out.
Outside, someone was waiting for her.
"So, did you manage?" Karol grabbed her arm. "Did you give it to her?"
"Yes!" The girl, having been paid by Karol to deliver the gift, decided to keep things simple and didn't mention that Sherilyn wasn't there.
After all, Naomi was Sherilyn's assistant, so the gift would surely reach her.
"Great!" Karol breathed a sigh of relief, a small smile appearing on her face as she transferred some money to the girl.
She was at her wit's end.
Gilbert was always surrounded by two carloads of bodyguards. Forget about talking to him; she couldn't even get within a hundred yards of him.
Sherilyn was the same.
Since "that incident," they had both blocked her.
