Whispers Turn to Whimpers: Could He Ever Change? novel Chapter 1125

Having moved abroad with her mother at a young age, Rebecca White's room still carried the charm of her childhood days.

The bed was adorned with pink sheets, and a collection of fluffy stuffed animals sat at the headboard.

Francis couldn't help but smile as he picked up a teddy bear. "I always wondered why James is so attached to his teddy. Now I see it's just like yours."

Rebecca felt a bit embarrassed, taking the bear from his hands. "Don't look at those. They're what I liked as a kid, kind of childish."

"Not at all."

Francis shook his head, his voice gentle and affectionate as he gazed at her.

"I only wish I'd met you sooner. This way, I get to know more about you."

He then asked, "Do you have any photo albums?"

Rebecca paused for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, I do."

Of course, she had them.

"Can I take a look?" Francis reached out his hand.

Rebecca couldn’t find a reason to refuse. "Alright, just a moment."

She turned around, retrieved a photo album from the shelf, and handed it to him. "Here you go."

"Thanks."

Knock, knock.

Just as Francis got the album, there was a knock at the door.

It was Selina.

Rebecca opened the door, "What's up?"

"Hey, sis."

Selina grinned, "Sorry to interrupt you and Mr. Johnson, but the kitchen's a bit hectic. Could you lend a hand?"

"Sure."

Rebecca wasn't one to freeload, so she nodded and turned to Francis. "Hang out here for a bit. I'll be down for dinner."

"Sounds good."

"Let’s go."

Rebecca closed the door and left.

Francis lowered his head and opened the album.

Inside were photos of Rebecca from her birth, to her first hundred days, gradually growing up over time.

He looked through them quietly, a smile spreading across his face.
