Naylor pointed towards Gilbert. "From this moment on, you will take orders from Mr. Nine. I expect you to follow his instructions to the letter, do you understand?"

"Understood."

Without questioning, Nolan turned to Gilbert, bowed slightly, and said, "Mr. Nine, what are your instructions?"

The title "Mr. Nine" now carried a different weight than it did before.

Gilbert nodded slightly. "I need to find someone... You have two days to locate them, no exceptions!"

The Hospital.

The weather was gloomy today, with a fine drizzle casting a somber mood over everything.

Sherilyn was carrying Jenna, following the nurse through the hospital for more tests.

"Mommy?"

Jenna, small and puzzled, voiced her confusion.

"Where's Mr. Gilbert?"

Sherilyn felt a pang in her heart but managed to smile, "Mr. Gilbert is busy today and can't be with Jenna. Is it okay if Mommy stays with you?"

"Oh..."

Jenna pouted, clearly disappointed. "But Mr. Gilbert said he would be with Jenna these days."

Mr. Gilbert didn't keep his promise!

Her big eyes blinked. "What about Uncle? Is he going for his check-up too?"

The question was like a knife to Sherilyn's heart.

"Uncle..." She managed to hold back the tears, trying not to let her daughter notice. "Uncle already had his check-up done. He doesn't need one today."

"I see." Jenna nodded, envious. "That's nice."

"Be a good girl, Jenna."

Sherilyn carried Jenna into the examination room. "We have two more tests, just hang in there a little longer."
