Gregory hot out of the car, followed by Natalie.
Anathea tooked away. Angling her body, she picked up her cup of free and took a sip
All the employees in the store stopped what they were doing. Walking to the entrance of the store, they arranged themselves Into two mwS.
Then, they bowed respectfully as they greeted, “Mr. Sinclair.”
Gregory nodded slightly. The general manager led him and Natal to the second floor
As soon as they walked away, the employees on the first floor begin whispering among themselves.
One of them said, “I didn’t expect the legendary Mr. Sinclair to be young and handsome. He’s the man of my dreams!”
Another replied, “Give up. Didn’t you see that young lady next to Mr. Sinclair? Her beauty and demeanor make her a perfect match for him. We have no chance at all.”
Someone said, “I heard that Mr. Sinclair once spent a hefty sum of 50 million dollars to purchase a famous blue diamond ring at an auction. It was probably meant for that lady!”
The others replied, “Goodness, he’s so generous and romantic! Mr. Sinclair really loves that lady!”
As Anathea listened to the employees singing praises of Gregory’s feelings for Natalie, she was completely unfazed.
Het mind was occupied with just one thought. 150 million dollars was more than enough to pay for Fiona’s medical fees. Sadly, her ring was only worth eight million dollars.
However, despite his hatred toward her, Gregory had still given her a ring worth eight million dollars. In a way, he’d actually flattered her quite a bit. A self–mocking smile tugged on Anathea’s lips.
Just then, the appraiser approached Anathea with the check. “Ms. Jacobson, here’s 27 million. If you want to sell any jewelry in the future, feel free to contact me.”
“Thank you.” Anathea thanked him politely. She probably wouldn’t have another chance to sell jewelry again. After all, she didn’t own anything valuable
anymore.
Just as she was about to get up after taking the check, Natalie’s voice rang out.
“Ms. Jacobson?”
Anathea looked up, accidentally meeting Gregory’s eyes as he stood on the stairs. There wasn’t much warmth in his gaze toward her. It was as if he were looking at a stranger
It made sense. He would never show any form of intimacy with hetin public, and much less so when he had Natalie by his side. Anathea was the first to break eye contact. She put the check away
“What a coincidence, Ms. Jacobson. I never thought we’d meet here.” Smiling, Natalie greeted Anathea. She seemed to be hinting at something as she said, “We’ve just arrived, and now you’re here too!”
Gregory frowned. He looked at Anathea, seemingly scrutinizing her now.
He thought she’d followed him here on purpose. He hated it whenever she asked him about his whereabouts, so he was even more infuriated by her stalking behavior.
Of course, Anathea could sense his displeasure. She knew he’d already assumed that she was pestering him.
However, since the divorce agreement was already signed, she couldn’t be bothered to explain herself. She tur. o leave.

However, Natalie stepped in front of her to block her path Smiling Natalie said, “treg and fare picking out a birthday gift for Mrs. Sinclair. We’re a bit stumped, though. Why don’t you help us ek something out, Mr Jacobson/”
Natalie was referring to Eleanor, the renowned Mrs. Sinclair of Caenea,
She was famous because of the deep love Gregory’s father, Holden Sinclair, had for her—even going as far as spending a linge sum of money to purchase an island for her to vacation on. He’d all allowed her to take full charge of the Sinclair family’s affairs, making her the true lady of the Sinclair household.
Unfortunately, Gregory had never taken after Holden in terms of doting on his wife. There was also the fact that the woman Gregory wanted to dote on had never been Anathea, but Natalie tread
For example, they still hadn’t picked out a gift for Eleanor, but Gregory had already chosen an exquisite bracelet for Natalie.
“Mr. Sinclair, this bracelet costs nine million dollars.”
Nine million dollars….
Anathea was stunned for an instant.
Gregory didn’t even bat an eye as he handed his black card to the employee. Nine million dollars was nothing more than loose change to him.
However, he’d only give Anathea a check for 100 thousand dollars every month. Even the jewelry pieces Anathes had sold were worth less than two million dollars each, excluding the diamond ring
“Thank you, Greg. I love it.” A smile blossomed on Natalie’s face.
Gregory nodded slightly. He didn’t show much emotion.
“Ms. Jacobson, do you think this bracelet looks good? Would it suit Mrs. Sinclair?” Natalie showed Anathea a bracelet.
“Sorry, but I don’t know much about these things. You should ask someone else, Ms. Whitman.” Anathea’s voice sounded
distant
“You’re right, Ms. Jacobson. You never wore any jewelry, so it makes sense that you don’t know about them.” Natalie put on a mocking smile. Then, she looked at Gregory. “What do you think, Greg?”
“Up to you” Gregory turned to the store manager and said indifferently, “We’ll take anything she picks.”
“Of course.” The manager was beaming after securing the huge order. He walked past Anathea and approached Natalie as he eagerly introduced their jewelry collections.
Shoved aside, Anathea lost her balance for a bit. She had to press against the display case for support to stop herself from falling
OVLT.
Meanwhile, the manager was already leading Gregory and Natalie to the vault where bespoke jewelry pieces were kept.
Anathea rubbed her slightly aching wrist. She decided not to bother about the trivial episode as she walked straight out of the
store
Just then, her phone rang. It was a call from Brisa
Anathea’s late grandmother used to be close friends with Brisa. So, even though Gregory had been forced to marry Anathea, Brisa was still especially nice to Anathea and would look out for the latter whenever she could.
Anathea respected and loved Brisa just like her own grandmother too.
Anathea exhaled. As she pressed the button to accept the call, she raised the pitch of her voice and greeted in a friendly tone, Mrs. Sinclair Senior!”
“Hello!” Brisa’s loving and refreshing voice rang out in reply. Then, she pretended to be upset as she asked Anathea, “Nat, are you never going to talk to me unless I call you first?”

“Of course not, Mrs. Sinclair Senior. I’ve just been a little nocupled these days.” Anathea softened her tone. “I’ll make some of your favorite almond cakes and bring them to you someday, alrigh
someday? It’s Greg’s mother’s birthday this weekend. Why don’t you come over with Greg and Xandy? I’ll make some creamy white fish chowder for you!”
“Well…” Anathea hesitated for a moment.
Eleanor had never liked Anathea, so she only allowed Gregory and kander to attend her birthday party at the Sinclair residence Gregory would never take Anathea along, either
Anathea instinctively wanted to decline,
But Brisa didn’t even give her a chance to say no. “That’s settled, then. I’ll make your favorite creamy white fish chowder, and you’ll bring my favorite almond cakes. That’s a promise! No fooling this old lady, you hear? Or I’ll get very angry!”
Anathea smiled helplessly. She had no choice but to say, “Alriglit, do everything you say,”
After the call ended, the smile gradually faded from Anathea’s face.
