Chapter 195
Chapter 195
Gregory said he respected Anathea’s decision, but he never really gave her room to decide at all.
He was forcing her.
How despicable!
Anathea glared at him with pure hatred.
But Gregory didn’t think he was doing anything wrong. In fact, seng the anger and resentment in her eyes weirdly made him feel even better. At least now, she was pissed at him and wanted to kill him.
That was still better than her always trying to run away from him!
He’d never thought of himself as someone who would get attached to other people.
But when it came to Anathea, there was only one thought in his mind–if he couldn’t have her, no one could.
Anathea had no idea what he was thinking. All she knew was that his obsession was terrifying, but she had no way out.
The gap between them was just too big. Whatever revenge he wanted to take, she wouldn’t be able to handle it. And she couldn’t dodge it either.
All she felt was helplessness and overwhelming sadness.
Biting her lip hard, she tried to control herself, her fingers slowly curling into the bed as she fought to stay calm.
Every emotion inside her was crashing over her, drowning her, but she couldn’t collapse. She had to hold on.
After a long pause, she lifted her head and took a deep, shaky breath.
“I’ll do it.”
The moment she agreed, Gregory’s mood visibly brightened.
He leaned down, getting close to her face. His warm breath, mixed with the scent of cedar, brushed against her makeup–covered
skin.
“This rebellious look doesn’t suit you. Change it, Mrs. Sinclair,” he said softly.
Anathea froze for a second.
Then, she remembered what he’d said earlier to her in front of the reporters and frowned.
“Delete my pictures first,” she said.
“What pictures?” Gregory asked.
“You know…” Anathea clamped her mouth shut. She couldn’t even say it out loud. “Those kinds of pictures…” Her cheeks were burning.
She wasn’t like Gregory, who could just toss around this kind of thing as if it was nothing
“Oh.” Gregory saw her awkward expression and instantly understood. He then smirked and said calmly, “I don’t have any pictures like that.”
Did she really think he was the kind of guy who would sneak photos?
Even if he had any, there was no way he would show them to anyone. He should be the only one who could see in that state.
Anathea stared at him, even more suspicious.
“You lied?”

“It’s called strategic deception.” Gregory shrugged as though it was no big deal.
You’re shameless!” Anathea snapped.
“Thanks for the compliment,” he uttered with a lazy smile.
Anathea was speechless. How could he be even more shameless than before?
Right then, Gregory’s phone buzzed with a message. Not looking at her again, he stood up and walked out of the ward, closing the door behind him.
