Chapter 203
Ten million was a hundred times more than what Anathea used to get. She was a little surprised by how generous Gregory had suddenly become, but she didn’t show it.
After all, as his wife, she should get that kind of money in the first place. Before this, to him, she was just a woman who wasn’t. good enough to be seen in public. That was why he brushed her off with a measly 100 thousand.
When she loved him, she was worth 100 thousand. Now that she didn’t love him anymore, she was worth ten million. Anathea let out a bitter laugh to herself. Love really was the cheapest thing in the world, especially when it came to Gregory.
“Are you happy now?” Gregory looked at her, his gaze falling to her belly. His tone oftened. “Grandma’s going to be thrilled when she finds out you’re pregnant.”
Brisa had always hoped they would have another child.
Just thinking about a new little life arriving soon and having another small voice calling him “Dad” alongside Xander made him smile slightly. It was a feeling he didn’t have back then, but now he did.
He actually felt the joy of becoming a father again.
Gregory was a little surprised by the emotion, but he didn’t resist it. In fact, he kind of enjoyed it.
Anathea looked up at him. “I have one last condition. For now, I don’t want anyone to know I’m pregnant. So, please keep it a secret.”
At her words, Gregory’s smile disappeared, and the warmth in his eyes slowly iced over.
He’d been thinking about sharing the news with Adrian and the others. He’d never had this strong urge to share the news with others. But this time, he really wanted to tell them he was going to be a father again.

However, Anathea wanted to keep it a secret–the complete opposite of what he wanted.
“Why?” Gregory asked, his tone laced with barely hidden displeasure.
She hadn’t even wanted to tell him when she found out she was pregnant and had left without a word. Now that she was back, she still didn’t want to make it public. It made him start to suspect things.
“Anathea, are you already planning to disappear the moment I help get Adam’s treatment sorted?” Gregory stared at her
seriously.
Anathea froze. The fingers resting on her knee curled slightly, and something flickered in her eyes.
Gregory had seen right through her.
He was right–that was exactly what she was planning.
Not announcing the pregnancy was her way of not tying herself to him too tightly. Once he arranged for Adam to get treated, the act would be over.
She could leave.
Before that thought could take full shape, Gregory had cut it down without hesitation.
“Anathea, let me be clear. Unless I’m the one who ends this agreement, don’t even think about walking away.”
His voice was firm and absolute. There was no room for discussion.
He’d already made up his mind to keep her by his side. There was no way he was letting her go.
Looking at his furious expression, Anathea nervously swallowed.
