Anathea watched Gregory’s serloin expression as he replied to
intenars and pressed her lips together
Sure enough, Gregory only ever showed this kind of focus and parce when it came to Pratatte

she was able to tolerate the man she loved pebtily
Yet, Anathea was also a bit puzzled. Gregory and Natalie clearly understand each other deeply. They had a long–standing partnership. So, why hadn’t Gregory just chosen Natalie to be his?
They had real feelings for each other, and Eleanor had already long considered Natalie her future daughter–in–law. They had mutual love and approval from their parents, which meant they were the perfect mater
But Anathea had neither Gregory’s love not his family’s recognition. All she’d had was a blind infatuation, and with that, she’d recklessly married him.
Now, even she herself thought she’d been so foolish it was laughable.
Anathea let out a breath and forced back the sting in her eyes. She didn’t look at him again.
On the way, Gregory was busy texting Natalie and didn’t speak to her again. Understanding the situation, Anathea didn’t sa anything either.
Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones, but her emotions kept fluctuating, and a dull pressure lingered in her chest.
Once they arrived at the company, Gregory got out first. Martin, per Gregory’s instructions, took Anathea to the jewelry store to choose a ring.
Anathea stood in front of the dazzling display for a long time, unable to make a decision.
“Miss, is there anything you like?” the staff asked.
Anathea smiled and shook her head.
“We have other styles too. You can take a look. Actually, we just received a very special ring.”
The staff led Anathea to another display case, and the ring was truly more beautiful than the others.
It was a finely cut white diamond, surrounded by a halo of tiny, sparkling diamonds, which reflected brilliant light under the display lighting.
Anathea’s gaze was drawn to it, but before she could speak, a woman said, “I’ll take this one.”
Anathea paused and turned her head, just in time to see the woman’s face.
It was Natalie.
“Ms. Jacobson, what a coincidence.” Natalie greeted Anathea first. Her smile was polite, but her eyes were sharp as she examined Anathea.
Natalie hadn’t expected Anathea to be back, accompanied by Martin, no less. It was clear Gregory had started taking Anathea seriously.
Natalie clenched her fingers subtly.
Anathea met her gaze without any change in expression, not even bothering to respond

Natalie couldn’t stand being ignored by a woman she saw as inferior. She walked up to Anathea and pointed at the ring Anathea had just been looking at.
“I didn’t expect your taste to be so similar to mine, Ms. Jacobson. But sorry, I’m taking this ring.
As soon as she said it, the staff took the ring out for Natalie to try on
