Gregory pulled Anathea in front of him, and she stared at him.

It seemed he already knew about the conflict she’d had with Natalie at the jewelry store earlier that day. Anathea instinctively curled her fingers slightly.
However, Gregory asked gently, “Are you tired?”
Anathea froze for a moment,

The pads of his fingers were slightly calloused. When they brushed against her skin, it itched a bit.
Anathea instinctively pulled her hand back, her tone calm. “Xander is my son, and he’s sick. It’s only natural for me to look after him.”
“What about me?” Gregory suddenly asked. “I’m your husband. Are you just going to ignore me?”
There was a hint of jealousy in his voice.
He’d wrapped up work early so he could go home earlier, since Anathea had returned. It was the first time in all these years that he’d felt even a slight sense of belonging here.
But when he reached the room, he’d seen Anathea holding Xander, coaxing and feeding him soup. Yet, all this time, Anathea had been cold and distant toward Gregory.

Bella had already prepared four dishes and a soup–each one looked and smelled delicious.
When she saw Anathea arrive, she immediately greeted her respectfully. It was her first time seeing the legendary Mrs. Sinclair. -Sure enough, just like Jenny had described, Anathea was as stunning as a fairy.
Sensing Bella’s dazed gaze, Anathea gave her a kind smile. Then, she served Gregory food and picked out some dis
“Not only is she beautiful, but she’s thoughtful as well. She’s absolutely perfect,” Bella thought.
But Gregory wasn’t in the mood at all. After two bites, he put down his spoon.
“Is the food not to your liking, Mr. Sinclair?” asked Bella cautiously.
Gregory didn’t respond. His eyes landed on Anathea, who was sitting beside him.
or him.
She was holding the bowl, sipping the soup slowly and elegantly. She seemed to be enjoying it, completely unaware that he’d stopped eating.

Gregory frowned. “Is the soup really that good?”
Anathea curved her lips into a smile. “Yes. Do you want to try some?”
