Chapter 215
“Mrs. Sinclair was up by seven and left before seven–thirty.”
“Seven? She’s that eager to see Adam?” Gregory thought.

His expression instantly turned cold as he recalled the way Anathe had fallen asleep in his arms last night.
She’d looked like a peaceful kitten, breathing softly, Her silk–like jet–black hair had been spread across the pillow, with one small lock curled around his finger.
But now, even the wrinkles on the bedsheets had been smoothed out as if no one had been there.
Gregory pressed his lips together and reached for the phone on the nightstand. It was only eight o’clock.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a sticky note placed neatly beside it.
Anathea’s neat, elegant handwriting instantly came into view. “Cyrus has already passed your suit. I’ll leave first.”
She used that word–leave–as though it was some casual goodbye between two people after a one–night stand, spoken by the one who always walked away first.
Gregory had always been someone who could see right through people. Anathea, especially, couldn’t hide a thing from him. Just that one word told him everything. Even if she’d come back, she hadn’t really taken this place seriously.
More accurately, she hadn’t taken him seriously.
Gregory looked up slightly, and a palpable chill spread through the air around him. Even though he was groggy with sleep, his presence was more oppressive than usual.
He said nothing, but his fingers tightened. The note in his hand crumbled instantly into fragments. He was fuming.
Cyrus swallowed nervously. “Mr. Sinclair, breakfast is ready. Would you like some?”
“No,” Gregory replied, not in the mood at all.
But Cyrus cautiously added, “Mrs. Sinclair made it herself.”
Gregory paused.
For a moment, Cyrus thought he wouldn’t respond and was about to retreat when Gregory replied in a low voice, “Fine.”
He didn’t sound as cold as before. There was even a faint hint of pleasure, and then he froze.
Had he just… forgiven Anathea that easily? Had he really forgiven her just because she’d made breakfast?
Gregory felt as if she had him wrapped around her finger.
Realizing this, he frowned. That was a fatal mistake in the business world. It was absolutely unacceptable.
He couldn’t allow Anathea to have that kind of influence over him. Otherwise, she’d become his greatest weakness.
And he didn’t want to have any weaknesses.
A moment later, he was back to his usual, icy demeanor.
Then, he got up and washed up before leaving for the company. He didn’t even glance at the breakfa athea had made for him.
At the hospital in a prison in Castenea, Anathea stood outside, waiting.

She clasped her hands tightly, a layer of sweat building in her palms. Her heart was filled with anticipation.
Soon, a staff member came out to meet her.
Anathea followed the person through hallway after hallway, passing through multiple layers of security and guards until they finally reached a ward.
