Why the Crocodile Tears (by Flower Sock) novel Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Isabel frowned when she heard the crowd praising Natalie and Gregory. She glanced at Anathea, only to notice the latter’s unfazed expression. It was almost as if she was used to such commentary.

An uneasiness settled within Isabel She felt disgruntled as she recalled the time her exboyfriend had cheated on her. If she ever ran into the trollop who’d nined her relationship again, she wore she’d make her pay

At that moment, Natalie took Gregory’s hand and twirled around bn before he pulled her in by the waist and dipped her. As the went down, she turned her face to Isabel and Anathea

Anathea narrowed her eyes when she noticed the territorial glean and provocation in Natalie’s gaze. It was as though Natalie

nin was saying Gregory was so taken with her that Anathea no longer meant anything to him.

However, Anathea remained straightfaced as she stared at Natalie, looking completely bored with the childish mind games the latter had cooked up

But Isabel’s eyes widened, and her voice trembled with rage as she seethed, It’s her!

She couldn’t believe it!

What?

Anathea asked in confusion even as she sensed Isabel’s aggravation

It’s that bitch!Isabel couldn’t suppress her anger any longer and stormed across the lawn to Natalie with her fists curled at her sides.

Izzy!

When Anathea realized Isabel was on her way to pick a fight with Natalie, she hurried after Isabel to stop her. But before she could catch up to Isabel, she tripped on her heels and fell, landing on soft grass. She gasped as a sharp pain shot up her ankle.

She’d sprained her ankle badly, but she couldn’t care less about that now. The song had ended, and Gregory drew his arm away from Natalie’s waist so he could take a step back. He bowed slightly to thank Natalie for the dance, as per decorum.

Will you dance with me again, Greg?Natalie invited with a smile

The words had just left her mouth when an incensed screech cut through the air. You homewrecking bitch!

Natalie turned just as Isabel grabbed a glass of wine from a passing server’s tray and threw its contents at her.

Goodness!

The crowd gasped and exclaimed in astonishment. They watched as droplets of red wine dripped from Natalie’s pretty face and hair. They glided down the ends of her hair before seeping into her gorgeous blue dress.

She no longer looked like a moving portrait. Instead, she now resembled a pathetic drowned rat

You

Natalie was about to fly into a rage when she got a proper look at Isabel’s face. Surprise and shame flickered in her eyes before she quickly feigned puzzlement.

Who are you?For good measure, she even ducked behind Gregory and played the victim. I’m scared, Greg

Gregory’s brows furrowed as he fixed a sullen look at isabel, who was still holding the nowempty wine glass. Izzy, what’s the meaning of this?

I’m trying to show you what a homewrecking trollop she is!Isabel yelled.

But I don’t even know you,Natalie countered meekly, batting her eyelashes helplessly.

Anger and frustration seized Isabel as she pointed at Natalie threateningly, Still keeping up the act, huh? You shameless whore
