“You don’t know?” Gregory smiled. “Then, I’ll make sure you experience it for yourself and figure it out properly.”
The emotionless words dropped like a death sentence on the rest of Mackenzie’s life.
Gregory glanced sideways, and Martin immediately understood as he instructed two bodyguards to drag Mackenzie away.
“Mr. Sinclair! I’m sorry! I’m really sorry! Please have mercy on me!
Mackenzie’s shrill voice echoed in the private room, hammering on the hearts of everyone present. Yet, no one dared to say anything, terrified they might end up like Mackenzie.
After all, Gregory was truly terrifying. He might look gentle and refined on the surface, but he was actually ruthless.
Several of the executives sitting near the couch swallowed nervously. Gregory was definitely not someone to mess with.
They hadn’t expected that Gregory–who was rumored to be estranged from his wife–would turn out to be this kind of man.
Estranged? That was pure nonsense!
It was evident that Gregory wished he could be tied to Anathea every second. He couldn’t even stand being apart for a moment. Adrian watched Gregory, who was now rubbing his temples in frustration after failing to reach Anathea by phone, and curved his lips in amusement.
“He’s doomed to have a rough night,” Adrian thought.
Drunk Elysium was still engulfed in a thunderstorm, while on the other side, in a small restaurant, the atmosphere was warm
and cozy.
“We finally met! Let’s have a drink!” Hannah cheered excitedly, raising a bottle of beer.
Cheers!” Chloe exclaimed, cupping a glass of juice in both hands.
Anathea also took a sip of juice. The slightly sour taste made her stomach churn a little. She hadn’t eaten a single bite since noor and was indeed quite hungry.
Just then, the wife of the owner of the restaurant brought their food over. “Your food’s ready.”
When the woman, Samantha Lowe, saw Anathea, she paused for a second, eyes lighting up. “Thea? Is that you?”
Anathea smiled and nodded. “Yeah, long time no see, Mrs. Hale.”
Samantha replied, “It really has been! I almost didn’t recognize you!”
“Mrs. Hale, you only remember her? What about me, your loyal customer?” Hannah leaned on her hand and smiled teasingly.
Hearing that, Samantha focused on her and suddenly cried out, “Oh my god, you’re Beanpole?”
Hannah’s smile vanished instantly.
Anathea couldn’t hold it in and let out a snort of laughter.
The clueless Chloe looked at Samantha curiously and asked, “Ma’am, who’s Beapole?”
“Why, it’s this Hannah here!” Samantha’s hearty laugh rang through the restaurant, drawing attention from a few other
customers.
Seeing this, Hannah turned away and covered her face with her hand. “Had I known this would happen, I wouldn’t have come to support her business,” she whispered to Anathea.

Anathea just smiled because she knew Hannah was someone who never forgot a favor.
Back when Hannah’s family was at their lowest, Samantha was the one who’d made sure Hannah and her grandparents had three meals a day.
