Did Gregory just take Anathea and leave?
Right after that, Charlotte got a call from Eleanor. She quickly answered, “Eleanor, I did everything, just like you told me to.” “Good,” said Eleanor in satisfaction.
“But Anathea seems to have caught on. She refuses to do the paternity test no matter what,” Charlotte added guiltily.
Eleanor chuckled. “She’s got some sense of caution. But things have already reached this point. Whether she does it or not doesn’t matter anymore. Come to the Sinclair residence. We’ve already set the stage; we’re just waiting for you now. Once it’s done, there’ll be plenty of benefits in it for you.”
“Alright!” Charlotte replied.
The Rolls–Royce cruised through the rain. Outside the car, the downpour intensified. Sheets of rain pounded against the windows.
Even through the glass, the whooshing sound of the storm was audible. The water streaks on the windows had grown from thin rivulets to a full curtain of rain.
Moisture leaked in through the window that hadn’t been shut tightly, sending in a chilling draft.
There was utter silence inside the car. Gregory didn’t say a word. The pressure he exuded was suffocating. It was evident just how furious he was.
Anathea twisted her fingers, and she stayed quiet as well.
All the evidence was against her. She couldn’t defend herself. The more she tried to explain, the more it would look as though she was covering something.

However, Gregory refused to let her remain silent.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Gregory finally asked.
He’d been waiting for Anathea to speak up, but she refused to say a single word. That kind of attitude pushed him past his limit. He turned to her, eyes filled with suppressed fury.
“Anathea, I want you to tell me the truth!”
Anathea felt a wave of headache crash over her as she repeated her question. “Will you even eve me if I do?”
If he didn’t believe her, even if she said the child was his a hundred times, what would be the point?
“As long as you say it, I’ll believe you!”
Anathea’s lashes trembled slightly as she looked at him in shock.
The Gregory in front of her wasn’t like the man she knew. He’d always been suspicious by nature. Yet, now, he was telling her that he would believe her as long as she said it.
Anathea’s heart swelled with mixed emotions. An indescribable storm of feelings welled up inside her. She struggled to speak. “I
The car stopped in the garage. At the same time, someone knocked on the window, sounding a little urgent. “Mr. Sinclair!”
Chapter 339
It was Cyrus‘ voice.
Gregory hadn’t wanted to respond, but Cyrus remained outside.
He finally opened the door, his voice cold enough to freeze someone over. “This better be important.”
