Meanwhile, at a shrine in Syntherra, Adrian asked Dominic, “I thought we were here to discuss a business‘ deal, Mr. Lancaster. Why did you bring us all the way up here?”

“We’ll get to the deal, so I just thought you might enjoy a tour of Syntherra’s century–old shrine,” Dominic replied confidently.

He knew perfectly well that Gregory would sign the deal as long as everything remained within reason. After all, he’d helped Gregory secure the land in Syntherra.

“This shrine’s built on a mountaintop. From here, you can see all of Syntherra’s city center.” Dominic pointed toward the observation deck. “Including the spot where you plan to build the international financial hub, Mr. Sinclair.”

It was a project personally spearheaded by Gregory and the one he’d been most invested in lately.

After all, once the project was a success, Lennox would have to give up the position of family head, just as they’d wagered.

Originally, the project was planned to take five years, but Gregory had compressed the timeline to one.
