Why the Crocodile Tears (by Flower Sock) novel Chapter 59

Fiona’s tone was dripping with mockery

Gregory frowned slightly. No one had ever dared to mock him so openly right to his face.

What do you mean, Mrs. Jacobson? I don’t understand.

Fiona laughed. You don’t understand? I don’t care whether you really don’t understand or if you’re just pretending not to. I just have one question for youwhen exactly did you start leaving a mistress?

A flicker of confusion crossed Gregory’s eyes. Mistress? Who are you talking about?

Don’t play dumb with me!Fiona raised her voice. Besides that woman in the ward, who else is there?

Gregory finally realized Flona was talking about Natalie and replied calmly, That woman in the ward is like a daughter to my

mom.

Like a daughter?Fiona scoffed coldly. Seeing his indifferent attitude, she sneered. I didn’t know your family’s into role- playing

Gregory’s expression darkened, and his tone turned icecold. Mrs Jacobson, watch your mouth. I’m only giving you some respect because you’re Xander’s grandmother.

Otherwise, given that Flona was Adam’s wife, he wouldn’t have given her the slightest bit of courtesy. He would never have tolerated her speaking so rudely to him.

At the mention of Xander, Fiona’s expression shitted slightly.

She suddenly recalled the time when Anathea had been on a phone call with Xander and he’d affectionately addressed a woman at home. And just now, she’d heard him use the same affectionate tone with the woman in the ward.

So, not only did Gregory have a mistress, but he’d even brought her home. And Anathea had known all along. She’d endured everything in silence just to keep Fiona from worrying Fiona felt as if a heavy stone was pressing down on her chest.

She could hardly imagine what her daughter must have gone through. Anathea had suffered such humiliation, yet she still forced a smile. She must’ve been in unbearable pain.

Gregory, y youFiona clutched her chest, her breathing turning rapid and uneven

Gregory was momentarily taken aback. Seeing Fiona’s face gradually turning purple from lack of air, he immediately pressed the call button for a doctor.

As Fiona finally caught her breath, she looked at Gregory’s perfectly composed face. Then, she thought of the countless red marks on Anathea’s neck, and her rage flared up even more.

Grabbing the vase on the table, she hurled it toward Gregory. The vase narrowly missed Gregory’s face and shattered against the wall. Shards of porcelain flew in all directions, and one sharp fragment nicked Gregory’s jawline, leaving behind a thin streak of

red.

The doctors and nurses rushing into the ward were startled.

Mr. Sinclair!!!!

The bodyguards outside rushed in, ready to intervene. But Gregory raised a hand to stop them. He wiped at the stinging wound on his jaw. His fingers came away stained with blood, and his brows knitted together.

Gregory! You’re a goddamn bastard!Fiona cursed furiously, poitting at him. I didn’t let my daughter marry you so you could degrade and humiliate her! And now, you’ve even brought your mistress into your home. You’re a heartless, disgraceful prick!

Everyone in the room froze for a moment.
