“Men! Throw his out!” Gregory had no interest in listening to Thomas‘ nonsense.
Hearing that, Cynis and Jenny rushed in. They each grabbed one of Thomas‘ arms and dragged him toward the door.
Even as he was being hauled away, Thomas refused to give up. “M Sinclair! Why do you have to treat Mrs. Sinclair this way? She’s a living, breathing person, not some object for you to trample on and humiliate at willl

y let out a cold chuckle and rubbed the corner of his eye before loolding down at Anathea, who was still sitting on the floor.
He took a long stride forward, towering over her. “Do you not have anything to say?”
Anathea remained silent as she picked up the broken shards from the ground.
Seeing her unwillingness to speak, Gregory assumed she was feeling guilty. He crouched in front of her and gripped her chin, forcing her to look at him.
“What’s wrong? You got caught sneaking around, and now you don’t dare to say a word? Mrs. Sinclair, you slept with me at the hotel one moment, and the next, you’re back home getting tangled up with another man. Are you that desperate for a man?

Anathea gasped at his sudden movement. Flashbacks of how he had tormented her in the hotel surged through her mind. She instantly curled up, hugging her legs tightly. Her eyes were filled with fear.
Gregory frowned as he watched her trembling uncontrollably. “What are you shaking for?”
He reached out toward her, but Anathea instinctively shrank back, clutching herself as she whispered, “No… No…”
Gregory paused. Her resistance irritated him. But when his gaze fell to the slightly open collar of her clothes, revealing the countless red marks he had left on her, he pressed his lips into a thin line.
He knew he had been rough with her that night. But she had agreed to it. If she wanted something from him, she had to pay the
price.
He could throw away a mere three million without a second thought. But he didn’t want to give it to her so easily. He could be generous to anyone, but to Anathea, he would offer no favors.
He just wanted to make her suffer.
Why should he be the only one trapped in the darkness of the past, formented by those memories? Why should Anathea get to wipe everything away with a single plea of innocence?
The world didn’t work like that.
Gregory stared at her so ruthlessly that it looked as if he
las if he wanted to tear her apart.
His emotions twisted into a tangled knot inside him; it was suffocating and unrelenting
His expression grew darker and darker. Suddenly, he let out a low, mocking laugh.
Fiona begged him to let Anathea go. As long as they divorced, she would be free from his torment.
But he wasn’t going to let her go that easily.
Anathea had to feel every ounce of his rage and every shred of resentment. This was the punishment she deserved.
