Chapter 90

Gregory was growing softer when Il rathe to Anathea

“This won’t a good thing!

And Theo himself had earlier abnost done the same.

Upon realizing this. Theo smacked the steering wheel in anger before starting the engine. Stomping down on the accelerator, he sped oft, spraying water everywhere.

At the Sinclair residence, Gregory parked the car before saving en dionlessly. We’re here. Get out.

However, he received no tespinse

Displeased, he turned to look, only to see that Anathea’s eyes were tightly shut.

Anathea?Gregory called out.

Still no reply

It was then he noticed Anathea’s shallow breathing and the unnatural flush to her previously pale face.

Expression tuming grim, Gregory reached out a hand to touch her forehead. It was burning hot!

AnatheaGregory immediately unbuckled her seatbelt and circled the car to pick her up. Then, he strode quickly into the living room.

What’s going on?Cyrus and Jenny came over to see what the commotion was about.

Anathea is having a fever. Call the family doctor over right now! After giving that order, Gregory carried Anathea upstairs without looking back.

Cyrus and Jenny noticed that Gregory hadn’t even changed out of his shoes, leaving a trail of water behind him wherever he went. The two exchanged glances while blinking in bewilderment

Half an hour later, the family doctor arrived in a rush with his medical kit.

By then, Jenny and another maid had already brought Anathea into the bathroom and given her a hot bath. After changing her into dry clothes, they placed her on the bed.

Gregory sat off to the side, not saying a word as he stared unblinkingly at Anathea. His expression was inscrutable.

The doctor quickly checked over Anathea.

Mrs. Sinclair’s fever is due to being out in the rain and catching a cold. Since her temperature is rather high, she will need an IV drip. Another thing to note is that her blood sugar is a little low, so she needs a glucose drip as well. Make sure she gets enough rest normally and avoids stress

The doctor then informed Gregory of the dietary restrictions she would have and set up the IV drip for her. By then, it was close

to 10:00 p

After spring the doctor out, Gregory returned to her bedside. Staring at Anathea’s pallid complexion, he knitted his brows before ordering Jenny to cook some oatmeal for Anathea to eat when she woke up

Once Jenny left, only the two of them were left in the room. It was so quiet that Gregory could hear Anathea’s soft breathing.

Having shared the same bed for so many years, Gregory was aware she had good sleeping habits. However, every time he finished with her, he habitually turned his back to her to sleep, not wanting to look at her. He also didn’t like touching her any

Hence, he rarely saw what she looked like when asleep.

At that moment, Gregory took his time silently observing her. She had a small face with sunken cheeks, though he clearly remembered she had some baby fat when she was young.

But now, her childish features had become more mature. The lack of makeup only served to accentuate her delicately carved

features.

After five years, he thought he should have become sick of her face by now, having grown weary of this wicked woman. But for some reason, as he stared at her frowning due to her discomfort, subconsciously reached a hand out.

Just as his hand was about to touch her, Anathea let out a moan in her sleep.
