Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isn’t Easy by Inked Snow Chapter 1717
After hanging up the call with the chief of police, Joshua closed his eyes in exhaustion.
He never expected that the case would be cracked so quickly.
Even though the police had already started to investigate Hunter as the prime suspect in this murder, they still could not confirm whether he was the culprit or not just based on a fingerprint.
Because the police did not want to inadvertently alert him to this, they had been investigating this in secret.
Joshua thought that because of this, Luna would have to be stuck in jail for at least another week, and during this time, Jim would have managed to take care of most of the Landry Group’s affairs. Therefore, she would not have to deal with these things, nor would she have to settle them herself, and instead, she could take over as CEO easily.
However…
Joshua rubbed his brows in frustration.
Sensing Joshua’s mood, Lucas quickly called off the meeting and dismissed the employees.
After everyone had left, he gently closed the meeting room door and crept over to Joshua’s side. Then, he said in a low voice, ”Sir, the police have started to arrest Hunter now, and if you want Ma’am to continue remaining in jail…
”Another thing we can do is alert Hunter about their impending arrival so that he can escape.
”That way, Ma’am would have to continue being jailed because the police can’t capture him.”
Joshua narrowed his eyes upon hearing this. He glanced at Lucas, sneering, ”Are you suggesting that I become the Quinn family’s accomplice just to keep Luna in jail?”
Lucas froze and quickly shut his mouth. ”I seem to have said the wrong thing, Sir.”
Joshua sighed. ”Maybe this is fate after all.”
Luna had never followed his plans when it came to their future.
Maybe it was fated from the beginning that she would one day become the CEO of Landry Group and rise to become his opponent.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
