Chapter 1725 This blood-curdling scream tore Luna out of her thoughts.
She lifted her head to stare at the room which the screams had come from, her gaze full of doubt and confusion. “Is that…Father?”
She refused to accept or believe this.
Charles was in his late fifties and was about to turn sixty soon, but this scream…
Jim let out a sigh and glanced at Luna, smiling bitterly.
“He has relapsed, and this is what he had become ever since he ran out of the medication that Mother had made for him.”
With that, Jim let out an exhale and pushed open the door.
Inside the room, Charles was sitting in a corner, dressed in a striped patient’s gown and clutching his blanket in his arms. “Rosalyn, Rosalyn, I’m going to bring you home now. I’m going to bring you home now…
“Don’t be scared; we’re going home right now!
“Get away from me! Don’t you dare touch my Rosalyn!”
Luna stared at the scene before her in shock and could not help feeling like crying all of a sudden.
She did not expect that…this would happen after just two days of her being in jail.
How could Charles, who had initially been doing fine, suddenly turn into a crazed old man in just two days?
Luna lifted her hand to cover her mouth as tears slid down her face. She turned to stare at Jim. “How long has he been in this state?”
“Well, he ended up like this ever since you were captured, but it kept fluctuating, and he wasn’t always like this, but last night, when he went out for a walk outside the house, he suddenly lost control and ended up like this.”
With that, Jim sighed and continued, “The butler said that Father has been in this state ever since my birth mother passed away, but at that time, Father kept calling out Lucy’s name, and now, he’s calling out for Rosalyn instead.”
Jim reached out to pat Luna’s shoulder in reassurance and said in a low voice, “Mother always used to say that no one could replace Lucy’s place in Father’s heart, and Father had always treated her coldly too, but it seems now that…
“After two decades of companionship, Mother has now become the most important person to him. Otherwise, why would he be calling out her name over and over now?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
