Chapter 1745
Luna’s entire body froze when she heard this, as though she had been struck by lightning.
How could this…
Seeing that Luna was a little dubious, Theo quickly played the recording of the phone call with Gwen
“Please help me!” Gwen’s weak voice rang out from the other end of the line as soon as he pressed play. “Theo, please save me… I think I might die soon…
“Luke knew that I wasn’t feeling well yesterday, and even after seeing me bleed, he didn’t stop at all and instead left after tossing me two anti-bleeding tablets…
“I have no way of communicating with the outside world. I only managed to call you after the chef took pity on me and lent me her phone for a few minutes…
“I’m going to die soon… The guards said that without Luke’s orders, they weren’t allowed to release me, even if I’m about to die soon, and now they can’t get in touch with him at all.”
Suddenly, a man’s voice rang out, “Ms. Larson, you’re not allowed to communicate with the outside world. Hand me the phone right now!”
With that, the recording stopped.
Luna widened her eyes in shock, unable to believe how much Gwen had risked to call her for help
She bit her lip and glanced at Jim nervously. “Jim, I want to go back to Merchant City!”
Jim appeared far calmer as compared to Luna and Theo. He narrowed his eyes and said, “It takes four hours from Lincoln City to Merchant City. If your friend is really bleeding profusely, she’ll be dead by the time you arrive there in four hours.
“On top of that, she didn’t even tell you where she was being imprisoned, so how are we supposed to find her?
“Besides, even if we could somehow find her, how do you think we can rescue her? Do you know who Luke is? He’s the most powerful gang leader in Merchant City now, and everyone has to listen to him.
“If someone like this were to imprison a woman against her will, do you think the two of you o I even a severely weakened and restrained Landry family can save her?

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
