Chapter 1765
Luna looked to the side, not answering Jim’s question.
Looking at the scenery outside through the car window, Luna deftly changed the topic as she flatly remarked, “Jim, didn’t you say that you’ve sent someone to investigate Heather’s death? Was it truly an accident?”
Jim furrowed his brows and stopped harping on the previous question.
“It doesn’t look like a pure accident. There is usually no one in that area. Also, Merchant City has strict rules and controls on trucks. That truck shouldn’t have appeared there at that time. Not only did the truck appear, but it also coincidentally crashed into Heather on such a wide road, killing her.”
Jim looked out of the window and added, “Looks to me that it’s highly likely someone’s doing. Also, no one could contact Malcolm after Heather’s death. Not only did he empty the mansion that he and Heather were staying in, but he also burned it to the ground.”
Luna bit her lip and stayed silent for a while before saying, “Malcolm isn’t a reckless person. If it weren’t necessary, he wouldn’t have set the mansion on fire.”
Perhaps there were some important clues to why he hurt Heather in the mansion.
Jim naturally knew what Luna was thinking.
“I’ll continue looking into it.”
His instincts told him that there was a larger conspiracy behind Heather’s death.
Perhaps it was because she had too much on her mind that after Heather’s funeral, Luna had two days of high fever.
It was just nice that the company did not need her help for those few days, so Jim gave her a leave of absence.
On the third night, Luna’s fever finally subsided. Although she was still not feeling very well, she still called Theo and planned to visit Gwen at Luke’s house.
Previously, after Gwen’s huge bleeding, she did not stay at the hospital, and Luke brought her straight home. Luna was worried for Gwen.
Although she could not rescue Gwen from Luke’s house arrest, if she could visit Gwen and see
that she was fine, Luna would be relieved.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
