Chapter 1774 When she noticed how Luna was not suspicious of her, Charlotte, who was dressed in black, smiled. “That could be easily done, as long as you agree to do something for me.”
Luna narrowed her eyes. “What is it?”
Charlotte calmly picked her cup of coffee and gently took a sip before answering, “You’re now the person in charge of the Landry family. I’m sure you’d be able to get into your mother’s drug warehouse, right?”
With a calm smile on her face and placing her cup down, she continued, “I want to enter your mother’s warehouse to search for a skin-regeneration drug.”
Luna was stunned. She thought that Charlotte would demand one of two things: either to be at a high position at Landry Group or to be reconciled with Jim.
Luna did not expect Charlotte to ask for that. She furrowed her brows and looked at Charlotte, rather surprised.
“Are you sure…that my mother’s warehouse has a drug like that?”
“Yes.” Charlotte sighed and said calmly, “Back when I was with Jim because I was intelligent, I once had the honor to accompany your mother to her warehouse and listen to her introduce the various drugs she has been researching for the past twenty over years. There is a drug there which will cause immense excruciating pain, but it’ll regenerate one’s skin.”
Then, Charlotte took off her sunglasses and mask, showing her burnt face.
The waiter of the cafe passed by coincidentally and screamed in fear before apologizing and running away for her life.
The other customers looked over at Charlotte due to the scream, too. When they saw her face, some exclaimed in shock, some felt sorry for her, while some stood up, paid their bill, and left.
Looking at those people, Charlotte chuckled bitterly. She looked up at Luna and said, “You saw it. Right now, I can’t live a normal life, so…”
Charlotte closed her eyes and let out a long breath.
“I’m willing to go through the excruciating pain if it means getting a new face to continue living.”
“Thank you so much.” Charlotte looked at Luna, teary-eyed. “I thought you’d refuse my request…”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
