Chapter 1863
“Charlotte.”
Jim could tell that Charlotte was behaving a little strangely. He furrowed his brows and lifted her chin. forcing her to meet his gaze. “Don’t you like Harvey?”
There was a hint of questioning in his gaze, accompanied by hostility and coldness.
His gaze was so sharp that it felt like it would penetrate all her thoughts and reach her deepest desires.
She was a little terrified of this and did not dare to meet his eyes. Instead, she turned her head away and said, “I never said I don’t like him.”
She sniffed and continued, “I’m just scared he won’t like me…
“After all, I had left Merchant City not long after he was born, and now that he’s already six, I’m worried he won’t accept me…”
With that, she wiped her tears away and added, “I’m sure that he won’t like me, and …”
“Of course he will.” A hint of pain shot through Jim’s heart as he watched Charlotte cry. He pulled her into his arms and said in a low, melodic voice, “Don’t worry about all this; leave it to me.”
As soon as he finished his sentence, the driver pulled the car to a halt.
“Alright.” Charlotte sniffed and lifted her head to force out a smile. “Even if Harvey doesn’t like me, I’ll love him with all my heart.
“He’s your son…and so, he’s mine too.”
Seeing how earnest she looked, Jim curled his lips into a smile and gave her another hug before getting out of the car.
When the two of them entered the hospital elevator after coming out of the parking lot, they bumped into Bonnie and Christopher.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
