Chapter 1871
“Well, we’ll be off now, Jim.”
A pained expression flashed across Christopher’s face when he saw the look on Jim’s face.
He did not intend to stay any longer, so he turned and left hurriedly with Bonnie.
Jim remained motionless as he stared at Christopher and Bonnie’s retreating figures.
For some reason, he could not help but think something strange was going on between these two.
Bonnie seemed desperate to maintain a distance between them, whereas Christopher kept trying to make Bonnie lean against him.
Jim stared at them until, eventually, they disappeared from sight.
“Jim!” Suddenly, Charlotte, who had finished her appointment with the doctor, sprinted into the garden.” What are you doing here? I’ve been looking for you all over the place! Why didn’t you pick up your phone?”
Jim finally snapped out of his stupor and glanced at his phone.
There were three missed calls, all from Charlotte.
She had called him at the exact moment Christopher and Bonnie left, but for some reason, he had not heard a thing
Jim shoved the paper Bonnie had given him into his pocket, then smiled at Charlotte as she made her way over to him. “The hospital was too packed, so I came out here for some fresh air.”
Charlotte leaped into his arms, smiling, and gently rocked his arm as she said, “Don’t you dare go missing on me again in the future.
“I couldn’t find you just now, and I was in such a panic that I thought you had run off with another woman!”
Jim curled his lips into a smile and playfully knocked on Charlotte’s forehead. “What on earth is going on i In this brain of yours?”
With that, he put his arm around her and was about to leave when a woman’s scream echoed from nearby. “Help! There’s a pervert!”
Jim froze in his steps and glanced in the direction of the woman’s voice.
The man who had been with Bonnie just a few minutes earlier had been seized by a woman screaming her lungs out.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
