Chapter 1883
Joshua immediately frowned when he heard this.
He had indeed been on a phone call with Luke previously while at the bus station, but he had not called him to rat on Gwen.
He had called Luke out of concern that he would blame this on Luna, knowing that Luke and Luna would definitely run into each other at the station.
As soon as he heard that Gwen was heading to the station to meet Luna, he contacted Caleb to verify whether Luke was in Lincoln City.
After all, Luke had been planning to head there for a business trip, and Lincoln City was Caleb’s territory.
Therefore, if Luke had arrived there, Caleb would surely have been alerted of his presence.
Because of this, as soon as Caleb told him that Luke had not come to Lincoln City, Joshua immediately knew that Luke had pulled a no-show on the man he had been planning to meet with for a business opportunity
The reason he had done so was to recapture Gwen, the bird who had attempted to escape from her captivity in search of freedom.
With Luke’s influence and power, there was no way Gwen would be able to escape unless so long as he made up his mind to keep her captive.
Therefore, Gwen’s escape had all been a part of Luke’s plan since the start.
Luke had known of her intentions since the beginning and thus did not need Joshua to eavesdrop on her conversation with Luna and rat on her to find out.
However…
Joshua furrowed his brows as he glanced at the furious woman standing before him.
He knew that at the height of her anger, Luna would not believe him, even if he explained everything.
Not only that, but she would even be convinced that all this was just an excuse.
“What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?” When she noticed that Joshua did not reply, Luna forcefully removed her hand from his grasp and fixed her clear eyes, which burned with rage, on his face. “I knew it!

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
