Everyone was shocked to hear Luna’s answer.
Even Joshua, who was on the other end of the line, was rendered utterly speechless.
A split second later, he let out a bitter chuckle and asked, “Is this really what you want?”
“Yes.” Luna let out an exhale and lifted her head to meet Jim and Charlotte’s delighted gazes.” This is what I want.”
She was telling this to both Joshua and Jim.
“Since everyone is so against me running the company as CEO, I’ll choose to step down from this position. I’m sure everyone knows I’m not capable of running this company at all.
“It’s just that Father loved me so much that he was willing to hand over such a large-scale family business to me, but now, it’s time I return what was, rightfully Jim’s to him. Nonetheless…”
She lifted her head to stare coldly at Jim and Charlotte. “Mr. Landry has previously promised m e that he’d let me manage a small jewelry design company under Landry Group, and I hope you’ll stick to your word, Mr. Landry.
“At the same time, I want you to give me five million dollars as a starting fund, and guarantee that no matter what happens in the future, you will not try to shut down my company or harm it in any way whatsoever.”
Jim could not help frowning when he heard this.
When he was tidying his documents a few days ago, he had found a stack of documents about a small jewelry design company in his study.
This was a minuscule company with hardly any development and was even at times on the verge of bankruptcy.
Fortunately, the world-renowned designer Joey Charles had been working as the lead designer of the company, and it was with his help that the company managed to sustain itself until the present.
When Jim first found these documents, he had even wondered why he had deliberately left these papers about a small, negligible company in the most prominent part of his study.
At this moment…

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
